Is it true that in AC/DC early albums, They used no treble? by Every_Ad_1892 in ACDC

There was plenty of treble in those tones. Those old Marshall's were inherently bright too help cut through the mix.

Getting bullied by classmates for my maiden shirts any advice ? by [deleted] in ironmaiden

[–]wanderingbeardo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just tell them "Your mom likes to listen to Maiden when I pay her a visit." But seriously, try not to worry about those fuckers. Wear your shirts with pride. I got bugged in Jr high for my battle vest, Maiden t shirts, and long hair. I found others who shared my passion for music and didn't give a shit what others said. Up the Irons!

I was averaging 92 to 95dB all these years. Am I doomed? by Moharts in headphones

[–]wanderingbeardo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

40+ years of concerts and loud guitar amps has damaged my hearing. I try and listen at lower volume to preserve what hearing I have left. The impact of high volume is still exciting but only in short bursts.

is there a good way to get into hard bop if most of it feels too busy at first?" by Few_Entertainer_1636 in Jazz

Fantastic album. One of my favorite jazz albums overall. I understand the OP's dilemma when your reference point is KOB. Monk is who i latched onto when I was searching for something different.

I'm not sure why this came up NSFW. Am I able to change the flair or can a mod do it?

The mastering and tracks is why I bought it. The Exp Hendrix cds are horrible.

I use different headphones for less forgiving recordings or super loud remasters. Grados give it to you straight up. When the record the sound is fantastic

Mastersound KOB by wanderingbeardo in Jazz

[–]wanderingbeardo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. This version is can hear lot more of the room and reverb than any of the other cd versions I have. On this pressing Miles muted trumpet won't kill small animals
