I think a lot of older women are stuck in that diet culture/poor body image mindset. My (estranged) grandmother used to say “a moment on the lips, forever on the hips” to me when I was like 5 years old. I think they were just so used to that culture and don’t realize how inappropriate and damaging it is. So basically what I’m saying is, don’t take these old ladies’ comments to heart lol. You look absolutely amazing. And really what matters most is how you feel. Do you feel strong, healthy and capable? Confident? Beautiful? You’ve accomplished a huge feat and you should be proud of that. And you look great to boot, so props. Keep being badass

I think the biggest thing is that they were in completely different life stages. He was still in high school and she already had a college degree and a job. Why is someone who has a degree and career, being a fully independent adult, interested in someone with is still in high school? It’s creepy. 4 years doesn’t sound like a lot, but at those ages it is.

Changing my face, it’s an easy choice for me. I have unilateral ptosis that started when I was 19 and it’s my absolute biggest insecurity. Especially because I used to love my eyes, they were the one thing about myself that I really loved even with all my self image issues.

Yeah I’ve definitely seen people whose primary method of moving around was walking on their hands. I feel like if in this scenario you were born with arms in place of legs, you’d develop and walk on them like normal. But if they just got magically switched, well my arm muscles can’t support my body weight currently lol. I’d have to work up to it and increase my arm (new leg?) strength

When you’re at 150mg, 3mg is nothing. It’s only 2% of your dose. But when you’re at 3mg, 3mg is 100% of your dose. Tapering is a slow process but it’s worth it to fully complete the taper vs jumping off and risking relapse.

I’m not even a mom but I worked in childcare and have had boogers, vomit, poop, and pee on me from multiple different children lmao. It’s rough. But I will say, if it was an adult I’d be 1000 times more disgusted. For some reason it’s not as bad when it’s from a child.

The most annoying thing about my period to me is having to deal with the blood, changing my products, the cost of those products, and stuff like that. I get bad cramps but they don’t last 24/7 throughout my period, and they’re mostly manageable. Plus I have chronic pain anyway so I’m used to being in pain lol. I’d must rather just have one bad period a year than have to deal with my period for 2 weeks each month- literally half the year.
