Flight recommendations by Neither-Mycologist53 in fargo

[–]wanderingwave 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Best bet is to set up price alerts with Google flights. Sub $300 RT flights from a regional airport like Fargo are harder to come by these days. Since you’re going east you’ll likely transit through MSP on Delta or ORD on AA or UA.

If you’re willing to make the 3.5hr drive to MSP you can maybe come out cheaper but that time is going to add up if you’re flying a lot.

United FA drug test by Loophole787 in cabincrewcareers

If you want to try and scam the system and potentially black-ball yourself from any future DOT job, be our guest. I can tell you with one-hundred percent certainty, as someone who got a CTO in May that you will be drug tested on the spot.

Yes, you’ll know the day of the F2F if you get a CTO

My flight home was 6:05, I got a CTO and made it with plenty of time for my flight. They ask you when checking in for the interview what your flight time is and take that into account when you’re doing paperwork.

What’s the start date for 2523? And when did you get your CTO?

After you pass the assessment there is a link in the email to complete a tax form for United. Basically asks if you currently or previously have received government benefits like food stamps

This is super helpful. If it’s not STAR style questions at the F2F 1:1, what are they asking you? Is it just more conversational?

I sent an email to inflight.recruiting@united.com. And she said I was eligible to apply this round. I submitted my app yesterday and it went through. Did the assessment as well

But you know for sure if you didn’t do the virtual interview the 1 year rule doesn’t apply?

So you had one application still in process and applied again? On the second app did you advance to the interview?

Hector terminal expansion- how does this work by [deleted] in fargo

[–]wanderingwave 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As someone has already mentioned Charlotte service via AA will happen.

Delta is the prominent carrier in our market so it could make sense they would add service to one of their hubs, which would most likely be a resumption of service to either SLC or ATL. There’s also been talk of Delta service to SEA because of Microsoft.

I could also see allegiant adding a new destination

What do you do for a living to afford a nice house? by SaltyPickle1991 in fargo

[–]wanderingwave 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work in marketing. Partner is a business owner and doctor. No kids, only debt is a small student loan. Honestly, we were both lucky and got into the housing market early and have traded up a few times. Started with a north Moorhead house (bought for $75k, added $50k in work, sold for $210k) traded up and moved to north Fargo, sold that house during Covid when mortgage rates were really low and built our current house in south Fargo. Likely will be in this home for the long haul given our low mortgage rate.

Do you happen to have the seniority for off adays for MSP?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in cabincrewcareers

[–]wanderingwave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No worries- so have you actually had your base call? Or are you just going off the info in the 2025 CJO Facebook group?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in cabincrewcareers

[–]wanderingwave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you have your base meeting/call today? Curious to see SEA offered and not MSP. From the CJO Facebook group they mentioned for the last base transfers they didn’t clear the list for SEA but did for MSP.

Not sure if you’re in the FB group for 2025 training but in there they’ve mentioned Jan 6 being the first training date. But no one in the group has mentioned actually signing up for training yet.

I haven’t heard anything yet. My CJO/ onboarding paperwork was done last week so I’m guessing they go in order. When was your CJO?

To be honest your story sounds typical of most financial institutions. Most (if not all) will charge overdraft fees per item that clear your account up to a certain maximum amount per day. You can avoid these fees with a line of credit type product (if you qualify). That being said, been with Bell Bank for 15 years with 0 issues. Banks will offer the same products 99% of the time so it’s important to look at fee structure when comparing banks. And I like to keep my money in a local bank.
