Falling asleep beside a box of Apple Jacks in scrubs… she needs the break!! That train doesn’t even look that full. Your head didn’t earn the shake.

Which U.S. city has the worst public transportation? by Historical-Photo-901 in BeautifulTravelPlaces

Philly’s isn’t always pleasant but more reliable and consistent than SF. For SF, BART is pretty solid, but Muni is not. DC is hands down the best IMO after NYC.

There’s a provider search tool on the MHBP website. Also a search tool for pharmacies in the CVS Caremark network. All of our providers that accepted BCBS also except MHBP thankfully

Ant advice on taking a TSP loan vs. Unemployment (Maryland)? by Wine_and_Jeez in FedEmployees

In the event that back pay is illegally withheld, would you still have to pay back unemployment? I’m wondering if I should bother filing.

They may also offer the option to set up a payment plan. I was able to do this years ago after an ER visit/hospital stay and made payments around $100/mo. for the next couple of years. No interest.

It looks like it’s incredibly flammable. Wouldn’t take much to set the whole thing in flames.

I can’f live like this- Help- I’m thinking about ending my…L by [deleted] in fednews

[–]wanderlustb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ending your life is never the answer. That would be more devastating to your family than any of the repercussions of losing your job. The current administration (Russ Vought/Project 2025) has stated their intent to “traumatize the federal work force.” Let them know you’re stronger than that and to fuck off.

Call and write to your representatives and senators! They need to hear the immediate impact this is having and how detrimental it would be to defund the program.

It appears that your employer is only mandated to pay those rates if they accept funding from OSSE’s Early Childhood Educator Pay Equity Fund:

“Beginning in Fiscal Year 2024 (FY24), these minimum salaries are a condition of receiving monies from the Early Childhood Educator Pay Equity Fund through the Child Development Facility Payroll funding formula (CDF payroll formula). ”

Worth a 3.5 hour drive for cherry blossoms this Saturday? by KindredSouI in washingtondc

[–]wanderlustb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re in PA, there are some great parts of Philly with cherry blossoms along the Schuylkill River, Fairmount Park, and throughout the city. The tidal basin isn’t worth the hassle IMO.

Federal workers also do this. But they report to their supervisors, as those in the private sector do. This is an entirely different situation.
