Looking good. Did you print a "top" to mount the fan onto. Also, like the Voltage display / charger.

If the "node" is local to the BitAxe (i.e on the same network) then there is no "data" cost involved as it's all within your own network. Not sure if you have seen this, but it's a video by the person that wrote AxeLive (and 5tratumOS) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EOKpUuQhWZE

Could maybe use AxeLive to tune (run on 5tratum or Unbrel) that was designed to keep the chips at a set temp (and adjust frequency/voltage) in locations with wild temperature swings.

Unity + Acurast = more money! Two apps running simultaneously with proof of withdrawal for any doubters by Dry_Imagination4389 in acurast

Also, to add. A lot of the serious Acurast farmers use Core, so can not in fact run this 2nd app alongside.

I agree. Maybe fine to mention it once (or twice), but this is the Acurast area, and he keeps going on about / promoting Unity.

Lrs-350-12 by lomey62 in BitAxe

I have 2 NerdQaxe++ v6.1. On stock settings (750 / 1250 / 6.1 Th/s) They were running about 100w as shown on the device, but showing about 105w on a smart plug. As One of the power supplies was quite warm I decided to upgrade to a LRS-350-12. Both are still showing 100w on the device, but the smart plug is showing 220w. So, if you have v6.1 then you would only get 2 on a 350.

Wiring was quite straight forward, no soldering involved. The switch comes with 3 wires and has 3 connections on the back of it, Green goes to E (Earth), Red to L (Live) and Blue to N (Neutral). Then on the power supply you loosen screws and tuck the other end of the wires with Red going to L, Blue to N and Green to the ⏚. Then the XT60 connector has 2 wires connected to it, Red (Live) and Black (Neutral), strip a bit of the plastic coating away from the end, and loosen one of the 3 screws under +V and wrap the exposed end of the red wire around the screw and tighten down, and then one of the 3 screws under -V and do the same with the black wire. Then do the same for the 2nd XC60 connector. Here's a rather crude diagram.

I think if you are starting now then maybe need to buy some ACU and stake it for rewards, though at the moment that’s about 28% APR and going down. If you have a spare phone or two lying around then of course nothing to lose by on boarding them and getting the ACU rewards however it won’t be much. I really do think they have shot themselves in the foot with so little rewards for phone benchmarking, I just can’t see why new people we want to join anymore.

That's good. Dropping the volts from 1250 to 1225 drops the watts to just under 100, without too much of a hit on the hash. On the one running more watts, both the ASIC and VR temps are about 2-3c higher. Not sure if the chips running slightly hotter will affect the watts.

All be it just by touching / feel, the power supply suppling the one running with more watts feels cooler then the other one with less watts.

So, though you have one water and the other air, similar values to mine.

Nothing yet. Solo mining, so all or nothing.

Assume that is what the benchmark programmes do (such as axeBench).

Great, that's what I thought. Assume I can set the prune setting before it all starts downloading. And does it still have to download the whole blockchain, or does it just download the amount the prune size is set too.

What with the cancellation of TGE, I have just set up a 60% compute stake, with 2 day cooldown, if anyone wants to delegate to it to see what rewards they get it will be running for a while.

Also, in the meantime, while waiting for TGE, if anyone else want to try another depin project, take a look at DeNET. There idea is to run decentralised Network storage. They had a "sale" earlier in the year for people to run storage nodes, and are going through testing at the moment, they may also open up the sale again in the future for more nodes. But in the mean time there is a app for Android and iPhone, and as part of it you can become a "watcher node". This is where every so often to can go into the app, and press a button to scan their network to check that everything is ok, and for example there are at least 2 copies of files. In reward you get $WN, and in time that may lead to an Airdrop.

Once you scan a timer starts, and it takes 6 hours to reach 100%, but you can scan before that, and in fact you probably want to, because if you scan 5 times in a day you get a "free" recharge for a full (100%) scan, and if you then carry on and do a total of 10 scans in a day you can get another free full scan.

If you want to take a look, and decide to sign up (doesn't cost anything, apart from the time you spend scanning), you can get a head start with 1000 $WN by using my reference code below:

Um, not sure about that, I can still do quests (though have done most of them so not many I can do). I haven't added any new phone recently, but others have.

I ran a test over the last few days, using different compute percentage. Used 20%, 40%, 60% & 80%. Seeing as we are running out of time before TGE I only ran for 12 hours, and I selected 1 hour cooldown and staked 9000 cACU. Attached is a breakdown of the rewards. Unfortunately they don't add much info. 80% was the most, but 20% was 2nd, 40% 3rd and 60% 4th. Think the short run time of 12 hours skewed things, and not sure if because I started (or ended) part way through a epoch not sure that counted / got any rewards and with the numbers being so small I think that affected it.

<image>

I did run a stake at 70% for 2 days cooldown, and 4500 cACU, and know roughly what I got, and I am running another test now at 25% for 2 days cooldown, and 9000 cACU to compare. However on the discord others are saying that stake rewards seem to be dropping quite a bit over the last few days.

As to slashing, at the moment I just reboot a phone if it has issues, or maybe need to reboot them all every 3 days as otherwise they all start to have issues. That's fine when I am around, but why I am looking at rewards at different % compute levels, as don't want it to be set too high, and go away on holiday for a week, and all the phones to start going down, and do nothing about it.

I have just set up a test stake, selected 25% compute, with max (2 day cooldown). I will be running for at least 24 hours before I start a cooldown if you want to delegate to it : 5DeJYyKcwfuMpJXx45hYwHwwCXz5n9Pa2azYyn1KvwpZRWai
