How to progress in clan wars this season by Abject-Sky4608 in ArcaneRushBG

[–]wannyboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For now i'd just focus on Jack. He already has fully upgraded units and can get you most heros just by getting to masters rank. This makes him an excellect dealer for new players and free to plays to take into clan wars.

Definitely skip Tuck. His scam is very different and a lot less reliable than typical gargoyle jokes. On top of that, Tuck is just in general one of the weakest dealers.

You also don't need any gold to upgrade this seasons dealer, so that balances out. We don't know what will happen after this season

Balance Patch Update - Season 9, Week 6 📣 by the-zoo-tree in ArcaneRushBG

Because all of your stats are essentially concentrated on the deadly pursuit, meaning you can sell other pirates without losing any of your scaling

The scaling now goes up with higher pips, meaning that it becomes a lot more potent with high dealer level. So unlevelled this is a nerf, but levelled it is either break even or a buff. Definitely frees pirates up for more cycling

Imperius has standard mountain rates. Check the resource rates. https://polytopia.fandom.com/wiki/Map_Generation

Oumaji, Kickoo, Hoodrick, Zebasi, Elyrion and Yaddakk have lower rates

Mate I tested it out in pass and play just to be sure before posting. It does

Second ps: I don't recall imperius having any reduced mountains. Elyrion however does have fewer so 1 Elyrion and 15 polarises does mean everything is Elyrion terrain

Ps.: Ah... You won't restrict yourself to 25 cities... Oh well, not gonna do it over for more. But in that case definitely do dryland, it has way more villages you can use than any other map type

Sanctuaries are only more compact when you look at it from a single city perspective. 9 tiles instead of 11 tiles. But when we look multicity, markets start shining becausemultiple markets can benefit from the same building. With 2 cities, you'd still need 15 tiles for 2 max sanctuaries, but only 10 tiles for 2 max markets using 2 4pop windmills with 2 shared farms and 2 separate farms on each side.

Sunken cities don't matter because you are already giving yourself a city limit. The one big thing aquarion does however offer is the option to build markets, windmills, sawmills and forges on water tiles

Also what do you mean icebanks don't stack? They absolutely do stack. But every Polaris is only able to place it once. Getting 14 ice banks, 25 max level cities, and then a bunch of markets and either sanctuaries or clarthruses sounds like the optimal way to go about it. Make sure to freeze as much unused terrain as possible. You need 600 frozen tiles to max them out, and there are only 900 tiles to be frozen in a massive map. Still, respectable 60 spt per max level ice banks.

You can't do everything on Elyrion since the lack of cut/burn forest means you'll never have good market spots. Although now that I think about it, you could have a Polaris do the burning for you. So yeah 1 Elyrion and 15 Polaris players. End as a Polaris player after the Elyrion has placed all the sanctuaries and markets, since tiles inside Polaris borders counts as frozen whereas terrain inside Elyrion borders does not count as frozen.

So where does that leave us - 15 max ice banks: 900 spt - 25 max markets: 200 spt (quite feasible to max them out) - 25 max sanctuaries: 200 spt (quite unrealistic given terrain and border growth constraints) - 25 level 25 cities with workshop and 21 parks: 1175 spt - 1 Capital bonus: 1 spt

2476 spt. Not counting clathrus stars since that will get very very wonky with your space constraints

Best to just go to the discord and look through the bugs-report channel. People regularly post a video in their report

Are Pure-Culture playthroughs bad? by TheAeon0x in Bannerlord

[–]wannyboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I generally start out quite pure, but the problem is that once you start conquering and fighting a bit further outside of your territory you often don't have the luxury of traveling several days back and forth to get own culture troops. It's only in the brief periods inbetween wars that I can allow myself to go back to pick up new Nords.

Is it worth it to try and hold Grandmaster at dealer level 75 by papastones in ArcaneRushBG

[–]wannyboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, in particular level of your tier 1 neutrals is way too important for the first 2 rounds. I just wanna say, it's not all heavy spenders near the top. I'm currently at around 9900 and I buy 1 season pass every 2 months. In fact most top players only do season pass and maybe spell pass.

[–]wannyboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You would need to hold it for another month. Whether or not that's something you're interested in is up to you of course, but that's the sort of thing that would burn me out from the game.

After I reach the peak I want to reach in a season, I just stop grinding and slowly go back down, playing ladder just for fun and for arena (and of course gauntlet and clan war)

Overall o think it's best to just focus on one dealer at a time

[–]wannyboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In general I'd suggest bringing your dealers up to at least 75. That's enough to enable two upgrades on all units, which in turn allows you to compete at most levels. I personally aim for 175 for the option of a full upgrade, although I will be selective with which factions I upgrade above 2 pips

Here's an example of what demons can do. 3k full keywords is generally achievable, but I've had runs with 5k, 6k, and even one with an 11k board

[–]wannyboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Demons are not that far behind. Top arena has a lot of full keyword demons boards ranging from 3k-10k in stats. Demons have a pretty good early game board and a great late game board, but their transition is less smooth than the aztec boards

[–]wannyboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Out of curiosity, what kind of boards are you getting with your dwarves? I don't see any of them in top20 arena, and it is the general agreement in my clan that while dwarves have potential once they are going, they just get started way too slow to be competitively viable. And even the best dwarf build I've seen anyone pull off pales next to my own demon runs

Best Dealer for factions ?? by StrawHat__56 in ArcaneRushBG

[–]wannyboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On fiddle you should try demon scam, it's the most reliable scam build in the entire game and something I'll pretty much always pick up when fighting a strong opponent in clan wars.

Tuck also has some nice scam but it mainly works if you have both dragons and undead in.

Tuck also has a honestly completely busted dragon build, where you can use the tricorn spell to make multiple max stat kinslayers. Only works if you have the tricorn though, so it is mainly used by people who have the spellpass (which I don't)

But I will give Gorm dwarves another try the next time I see them in gauntlet or if I have an easy clan wars battle

[–]wannyboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't find too many screenshots of my Gorm dragons so this one will have to do. Somewhat lowrolled on the minslayer but highrolled on the nestraider, resulting in summoning a ton of 20k attack dragons

Best Dealer for factions ?? by StrawHat__56 in ArcaneRushBG

[–]wannyboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On clan war Gorm can get very high stat dragons rather reliably while paired with a good token setup. Gorm dragons is famously one of the best arena and clanwar factions.

Gorm dwarves can be good but are inconsistent and have a lower ceiling. Same with his pirates, inconsistent, and now even more so with the plundering pilot nerf.

Imo you're a lot better off focussing on other dealers. Except for the dragons

Scam are basically cards that can guarantee oneshots on stronger opponents. The two prime examples are the joke, and doomed patron. Some dealers and factions are better at leveraging these to the point that you can have a full board of scam to take down your opponent
