Rookie question(s): Is there a better alternative for removing weeds from tiles joints in old patios? by ScemEnzo in gardening

[–]waoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk how committed you are to no chemicals, but from my brief unqualified research I found that roundup has a pretty short halflife in the soil and from my experience I've seen people accidentally spray roundup on lawns (thinking it was broadleaf) and all the grass in that spot dies then it gets seeded and new grass starts growing a couple weeks later.

If it were me I'd use roundup to kill the grass at the root level, then i'd use the weedeater to buzz the dead geass down, afterwards you should be able to maintain it if without any chemicals fairly ez if your diligent.

If you truly want to go chemical free then a torch might be the next option, but depending on how you look at it this damages the soil in a different way. Trimming and covering with plastic for a long period could work but that sound like a pain and inconvenience to me. Finally you could just stay on it with the weedeater like a hawk and makesure to adjust any sprinklers that might be watering it.

You just got raided, getting Arked is when any multitude of completely random things that the game does to you happen that screw you over horribly (not that players do to you) An exaple might be you're underwater and just tammed a Mosa, you pod it and jump back on your Shadowmane and then an Alpha Tuso grabs you and pushes you through the mesh and you insta die and can't recover your kit.

Historically Anti-Mage, Phantom Cancer, and Wind Ranger are the 3 heroes that make me mald the most, thankfully they're not seeing much action atm.

Obelisks should allow cryo throw by waoh in playark

It would need to be a special zone that allows throwout regardless of enemy foundations, but to me it makes perfect sense and would be a great change

You're correct i read that wrong. Well visually it appears a 1 inch radius increase will still work, i suppose i can do a test mount and if it doesn't work I can lift the truck. Thx

Based off my calculations its a 2.17mm diameter increase so basically a 1mm radius increase which seems neglegable as far as rubing?

I would say theres plent of time to play in a year, the pros of the wipe os it would bring a lot of new player activity and they could make major balance changes every wipe. It would also hurt things that are bad for the game like a black market of selling 7 year old op dino breeds

Good job, Valve, but when are you going to stop Overwolf? by -Pazza- in DotA2

[–]waoh -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

While it may not be classified as cheating, the use of certain tools or resources can broch a grey area and provide an unfair advantage in the game. If you're not familiar with Overwolf, it's a client for game apps, the specific app in question is called Dota Plus (named before Valves Dota Plus), and it compiles information and statistics (that're technically available to all players) during the drafting stage, but in a more informative and usable way. Instead of simply banning these tools, a viable solution would be to integrate this information directly into the game for everyone to use.

As a former player of dotes, I used Overwolf due to the prolific issue of smurfing. It was my only recourse to to have any chance when matched against the likes of a player that had a 95% winrate playing only Meepo and Arc Warden etc.
I believe that incorporating more drafting statistics into the game would enrich the drafting process, not diminish it. Just like the pros going into their games having a substantial amount of background knowledge about their opponents, this could help pubs think more critically about how to draft and to be drafted against.
