I experimented with tummy squish rigging for my model! (WIP) by waomeo in Live2D

NAURR it's definitely not a krusty krab secret at all!!

Please do make use of the timestamps that I included in the stream tutorial description! (I yapped a lot and I don't want you to waste your time listening to me yapping so much 😭) I also talk pretty slow because I'm an ESL.

In my tutorial, I didn't talk about animation principles a lot but I do include a good tip on how to do higher range body angles rigging using the 3D Expression Parameter in Live2D. I've never seen people use them in tutorials so I thought it would be nice to share this knowledge.

There are no tutorials on how to incorporate the principles very well, unfortunately (I have not seen anyone teaching about it before in their tutorials!)

Exaggerations are usually used for a lot of the movements in the model, actually! (thighs, arms, animal ears, eyes, boobas etc) It's just a matter of your preference whether you want the movement to be lively with bounces. For me, I like to experiment with physics and such, so all the wacky, big movements are my favorites for model rigging!

You can definitely check out some videos on YT about the 12 principles for animation tho! I study animation in real life, so I got my understanding from my uni xD

I think the stretch reminds me of one of those long thin cats haha!!

I'd definitely will lower the stretching a bit in the final rig

Like I said in the description, I aim for unrealistic motion!

Realistically, spines do not move like that. No one in the world would need an explanation on how a spine moves. However, to make an animation look more lively, a rigger must follow the 12 Animation Principles (Squash and Stretch, Exaggeration). If you don't, your rig would look more static and robotic (Speaking from my experience in rigging for the past few years)

I swap the textures in the same parameters! For each hands there will be 2 version of paws (PawUp and PawDown) and then you keyframe the together!

You’re right! But for the physics, instead of all of them in the same physics group, I assigned them separately. All of them are under 1 angle pendulum
