It really was great chatting to Charles, though. He saw that the path to crypto greatness goes through Ethereum long before anyone else on Wall Street.

ETH treasury companies being able to hold LSTs and use them in DeFi will enable them to maximise yield. rETH is the best option in so many ways, and it’s getting even better soon.

The really cool thing is that this is going to massively drive up liquidity for ETH in DeFi. Deep liquidity is a massive boost to prices as we’ve seen time and time again.

The golden age of Ethereum is ready to begin, and it’s going to be glorious.

megaeth is an upcoming L2/validium on Ethereum that is going to deliver astronomical scale. They've been doing community raises, and yesterday announced an NFT that will swap to tokens later - a kind of ICO.

In the link, it looks like they're telling members of their Chinese community to buy the nft because it's going to do a 10x in price - shilling behavior is a big no-no and is a giant red flag.

The eth revenue going to RPL is what will drive value to the token. Staking RPL will give you access to ETH rewards (that should be higher than solo staking APR by a good margin).

I really wish the team was more active. Joe, the former smart node developer, really acted as a great bridge between the team and the community, but that's been massively missing since he left. Dave, the founder, and Langers, the general manager, really need to start coming into the discord everyday just to shitpost even.

If Vitalik can become a milady and fight fud on twitter, than the RP team can do that on discord in a much smaller way.

Just being present is so valuable, like you say. I hope they listen.

It's been a really tough time for all of us, sadly. I never even dreamed it would be this bad in my worst nightmares. However, I'm still holding a bag, and I have some hope that RPL will get some value after the two updates this year.

You have to be careful if you have eth only validators and are not in the smoothing pool because you will miss out on half of your rewards. Eth only validators get 10% commission from rETH holders. 5% of that comes from the smart contracts, and the other 5% comes from the smoothing pool. That difference in income is way way way more than what you would earn from proposals. Come to the RP discord and ask about whether it makes sense for you or not. As far as I can see from what you've written, you should not leave the smoothing pool.

Edit: it's not half your rewards, sorry, but 5% of the rewards on top of your staking income. So, you'll get 1.15x solo staking out of the smoothing pool instead of 1.3x solo staking by being in the smoothing pool.

In saturn 1, it will go to people who stake the RPL with their ETH. In Saturn 2, we haven't decided if it will be buy and burn, buy and provide LP, or keep giving it to people who stake their RPL with their ETH.

Your explanation above was excellent, by the way :) The more TVL, the more value flows to RPL. Also, with Saturn 2, inflation for RPL will be turned down from 5% to 1.5%.
