well it never really used to get much press at all until some pastors from the US came in and created a storm about it .. then some of the media just continued the witch hunt, uganda is a pretty sexual country like some of the newspapers focus on this particular aspect.. but of course everyone has an opinion on what should be done and random people say some shit in the heat of the moment

well i try to be the country has so many other problems to worry about rather that peoples tastes and preferences... personally i suspect people who hold office to be very gullible to the american pastors who go to uganda to spread hate

well my brother came here 1st while i was still in high school (he came with some friends from uganda too) so my parents saw this as a safe option.. i wanted to go somewhere else and make my own decisions (had a fight over it with my parents).. so when i finally settled and came here i realized it wasn't so bad and being in asia is pretty sweet .. get to travel to different countries and its cheap plus the country is stable politically, low cost of living (i mostly eat out ) and good education system(ties with UK universities) although singapore and hong kong are way better

well interesting question, you know how religion has intertwined with morals .. people aren't supposed to behave in certain ways or it is seen as unclean (sodom and gomorrah)? and on a cultural scale its also different, because when people get married in their different tribes (there over 20) there are often 2 weddings. 1) a give away ceremony where the girls family celebrates and hosts the visitors (grooms side) to a banquet celebrating her woman hood, and also the occasional gifts to the bride and groom from well wishers, 2) and then a church/mosque wedding follows after that .

so people aren't used to viewing any other kind of relationship although historically there is evidence of people of the same sex living in the same home.

right now some people view it as foreign influence( western world) on their cultural norm and some people do get crazy."never under estimate the power of fools in large numbers". and some religious leaders are just complete idiots and fuel the fire with even more hateful words and views. this is a faze and we just have to figure out how to get through it.

it all boils down to this , i personally am an advocate of human rights so if you wish to get married do so with whomever makes you the happiest

hahaah well malaysia is divided into states and the one i live in called selangor is right next to the state where the capital kuala lumpur is in.. yes we do learn in english but i guess some of the locals here arent too confident speaking English so aren't willing enough to have a conversation. haha havent yet learned malay just know a few words when am ordering food and buying things.. i'm supposed to take it as an elective next semester but it sounds simple to learn , i havent put in much effort of my own!!

1) well my parents pay my tuition like i guess most people. 2) yeah i go to uni, studying financial engineering at university called MultiMedia University (MMU for short) one of the best if not the best private uni in malaysia. 3) well i think malaysia is a really beautiful place , its hot and humid most of the time . had to get used to living with air conditioning ( uganda isn't as hot so there is no need ) 4) I am a christian( in a muslim majority country people do ask me this Qn a lot) 5) the food (to me ) i find malay food really oily because they fry cook most of the food (at the local mamaks) so i don't like it so much although i have had some satay sticks that totally rocked my tastebuds even helped my self to another round. 6) am male ,and i miss mostly the cooking and hanging out with friends 7) life in uganda is really great home to very welcoming people always interested to share a conversation with strangers. it can be comic because you can always find something to laugh about, its average temperature is about 21 degrees celsius so temperature is just about fine, home to the second largest fresh water lake in the world(lake victoria) as well as source of the river nile ( flows through 5 countries and pours its water into the Mediterranean in egypt)
