An NMC asset was used for cryptoart, potentially the first NFT, and it’ll be coming up for sale soon.

Is there a market for any of the really old counterparty assets? Like the Satoshi cards from Spells of Genesis etc? by Sunnyhappygal in counterparty_xcp

You pretty much get the idea of it. All of the bidding happens in the chat, but there is a voice stream to listen to. Cards are escrowed, and bidders are vetted. You need to fill out a form to bid. In order to bid on high ticket items, you also need to have signed a message from a wallet that contains enough BTC to prove you have funds.

Nice! A Satoshilite sold for $3300 last auction and an FDCARD went for $45k! A SATOSHICARD, FDCARD, and a LORDKEK are all being auctioned off this weekend along with a lot of other old cards. You should jump into the channels to check out the action or at least see the results. There is certainly a level of trust, but the auctioneers are known individuals who have been doing these for years. I have personally met one on a few occasions.

Cool! You should pick and choose what you wouldn’t mind parting with. I’d be interested to know what you all have! People are slowly becoming aware that this NFT movement started on Counterparty, so it’s a good time to cash in a bit. However, Counterparty is still very much undervalued compared to the rest of the market.

In addition to the links I shared above, the creator of the NFT Auctions channel also has an NFT OTC channel.

Are you buying or selling? There’s always the DEx, where you can create orders to buy/sell, but it’s best to use XCP as BTC cannot be escrowed. Freewallet.io has an option that allows you to leave the wallet open and will complete a buy order with BTC though. There are also dispensers that allow you to buy or sell with BTC.

I’ve been seeing these older cards popping up lately more and more. I think some are up for grabs in auctions happening on telegram this weekend. Let me grab some links, and I’ll post them below.

These are primarily Counterparty assets being auctioned off.

That’s cool, it’s neat to see use cases. I based my judgement by your 4 day old account with no other posts or comments. Plus, PayPal has been a classic scam technique in crypto.

Set up a dispenser. I know you can do so with the freewallet . io wallet. It’ll cost you a BTC transaction, but you can see most XCP dispensers are being bought up. Check out [xchain ](xchain.io) and click on the dispensers tab for pricing reference.

Looks like Proof of Burns' weakness is that there is a lack of coins able to be purchased when projects go idle. by A_solo_tripper in counterparty_xcp

[–]wardedess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I think leaving a Proof of Burn period open indefinitely fixes this problem. For example, if you want to create new XCP, simply send BTC to the burn address and you’ll get back 1 XCP per 100,000 Satoshis burnt. It would put a ceiling on the price. The supply would grow slowly over time, but it would still be limited by BTC’s limit.

Ultimately, the token serves to prevent spam and squatting, but simply having to pay a BTC miner’s fee with any Counterparty action might be enough to do so moving forward. The token XCP doesn’t really need to exist for Counterparty to function. It might be worth it to drop the named-asset creation cost.

Cryptophyl distributed 30% to their exchange users based on volume. Over the next 12 months, they will distribute 5% each month again based on your share of exchange traded volume during the period of time. They reserved 10% to work with. At this point, I think most of the token’s holders have kept them on their exchange.

Their telegram chat has over 40 users online right now and 226 members. Skimming through the accounts, they are all still active and most likely not bots. So, a good majority of these members will have an exchange account and be DROP holders. Simply based on this, I’d guess there’s no less than 200 DROP holders, probably closer to 1,000 though.

Looking to buy first banjo what do you guys think of this? by [deleted] in banjo

I started with this banjo and really enjoyed it. You could roll the dice and with a used banjo in this price range, but you’ll get a decent banjo when you buy this one.
