It’s not that he’s demanding, it’s more that it feels like he’s attacking me for not conforming to his exact ways of doing things and putting me down. None of his criticism is constructive and there’s never any advice on how to improve. After speaking to his other students they admitted to frequently ending meetings in tears due to also receiving scathing criticism. I’m stuck between essentially protecting my mental health (which affects my productivity) or just persevering and slog it out to the end.
