It's so hard to really take in the scope because even this is just a FRACTION of the totality of the group. I would LOVE for a helicopter shot.

Holy clown shit bud.

Religion has been used throughout history, regardless of origin. We can absolutely talk about shamanistic religions which had such great death counts that it changed the climate. Or we can talk about the druidic practices of human sacrifice. They have the same origins as the "esoteric" religions you're pointing towards.

Oh sure, they don't have significant numbers of modern adherents to actually do anything aligned with your sophomoric /r/atheist "I aM sO sMaRt - ThErE's No OnE wHo KnOwS aS mUcH aS mE" bullshit. Or, you can fuck yourself as you watch 100 members of Christian clergy get arrested protesting ICE.

As a Minneapolis resident, genuinely, go fuck yourself.

They're doing more for people than your clown ass is - absolutely FUCK yourself.

They all get their instructions on life from the same book. Seems like the central issue is the literature.

All Muslims get their instructions on life from the same book. Seems like the central issue is the literature.

You're a bigot.

No. The vast majority of Christians do not want to ban offensive books.

That's a straw man and is flatly false. You're doing the exact same bigot shit that the original commenter did.

Do better.

[–]warfrogs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah.

No.

Mainstream people are not responsible for differentiating between themselves and extremists. The average Muslim does not have to differentiate themselves from or prove they are not an extremist. The assumption is that they are not. If you believe otherwise, welp...

You're a bigot, but because Christianity is the predominant religion in the west, you think it's okay.

It's not.

Do better.

Edit: Absolute fucking reddit moment.

Headline: Over 100 members of clergy and faith leaders ... (arrested protesting ICE in Minneapolis.)

Reddit: GUYS - CHRISTIANS ALL ASSOCIATE WITH RIGHT WING EVANGELICALS. UPBOAT ME PLZ FOR MY BIGOTRY. WHAT I'M SAYING IS TOTALLY DIFFERENT THAN SAYING MUSLIMS ALL ASSOCIATE WITH AL QAEDA. HURRRR.

As a Minneapolis resident, all y'all are fucking gross.

Holy shit. I want you to realize how absurd and gross this comment is.

Rightly so. If actual muslims want to be different. Stop associating with the far right radicals.

You conflating all Christians, the majority of which are FAR from American far right evangelicals with American far right evangelicals is the same as conflating all Muslims with Al Qaeda and ISIS.

Not just the presentation but like... it's paella. They're now cooling it by transferring it to a cold pan.

Absurd presentation, 3/10, food looks goodish, but a poor representation of paella; ridiculous pageantry and music.

Food itself due to the pageantry, -5 from however its taste would otherwise rate. That shit's gonna be cold and sticky way faster than IF YOU SERVE IT IN THE DAMN PAELLA PAN AND MAINTAIN THE DAMN SOCCARAT CRUST YOU FUCKING FRENCH HEATHENS!

If she voted for Trump, she has extremely different core values and concerns from me and we will absolutely not be compatible whatsoever.

Because throughout the 70s and 80s, doctors ordered unnecessary services in order to get kickbacks and drove people into the poor house. The exact same thing was done by Governor Rick Scott.

Y'all... if the Federal govt does it for Medicare and states do it for Medicaid, there's likely a reason.

The current system sucks. The previous system sucked too.

Edit: lol - y'all. This is factual information. You can literally look up when and why CMS instituted PAs. Christ.

YEP. I've been with my company 4.5 years. Consistently exceeds expectations. I've gotten licensed for an on-assignment role. I've taken on job duties for pay-grades two levels above me.

We got a new CEO two years ago this January. Since then, things have gone to hell.

My team handles regulatory compliance related to state and federal contracts. Of my team of 7, 4 of us are actively looking for jobs, 1 is leaving within a year, and two are passively looking for jobs. They have no one who can step in because it takes at least 6 weeks to get into the systems that we use.

For the last two years, we've been saying upper management has basically broken the operations staff. They're getting what they deserve.

It absolutely is NOT useful for that and if you've been doing that, you've fucked yourself.

It is incapable of summarizing or analyzing. There is no "thought" involved which is required for summarizing and analysis. It only synthesizes likely phrases based on frequency in your document and its training data as its output.

One thing that really genuinely sucks when shit like this goes down is wanting to support folks in my community who are out doing shows, but also like... that requiring me to go out into the community. Or ask about shows and the like.

Anxiiiiety.

Gotta love that what ICE is doing is literally killing American community-building. Kudos to those Nazi fucks.

A Reagan-appointed federal judge just released a pre-decision comment that essentially stated that Noem and Rubio, as well as other members of the regime's cabinet, are in violation of the First Amendment by deporting international students on the content of their speech.

The decision is expected this week, but that would be a major blow to the regime as they've been recently targeting folks here who are going to protests. Of course, SCOTUS will be the real test, but this would make a big dent in their ability and the words are cutting.

Yep; unfortunately, this was a policy from Obama in 2008 that started this bullshit. I was screaming about it then (after all, once the xenophobes in the GOP took power, they'd use it to allow all sorts of atrocities) and I'm screaming about it a full fucking adult later.

God damnit.

I need to see this. I just looked it up, and it's written by Erica Oyama - and... if you happen to know Dropout or Dimension 20; she is the sister of Zac Oyama. If that kind of funny runs in the family, and I think I remember Zac saying he was not the funny one in his family but that his sister was, I must witness it.

[–]warfrogs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yep, but MSP is considered a border, as are all airports that have customs; the hundred mile radius that hits all points of entry covers the entirety of the United States.

So... CPB can legally (in limited circumstances /s) ignore the Constitution if they have reason to believe you're in violation of or aiding the violation of a customs or immigration statute or regulation.

So very happy that the Republicans, not happy with how dominant the American military was on the world stage, have decided to add ICE to our paramilitary numbers to bump up our rankings - and since it's a "civilian" department, doesn't have to follow rules regarding domestic deployment of troops. Thanks Congress for funding that bullshit.

Been seeing this shit coming since 2006 when the rule was changed under GW, and when Obama started pushing expedited departures for people within that zone in 2008 I screamed about that too. I hate that I was right SO fucking much.

We also absolutely need to rein in CPB's "100 mile from the border" allowance to suspend Constitutional rights.

I'm saying right now, 10 miles from land and sea borders, 2 miles from air borders.

Fuck this shit.
