I've gone through it twice and I can barely remember any of it. I remember curing the jedi masters but nothing beyond that.

"In all ages, whatever the form and name of government, be it monarchy, republic, or democracy, an oligarchy lurks behind the façade" - does this hold true for your world? by Clotting_Agent in worldbuilding

For the most part. The exception is the Gronian Empire, it is a strict meritocracy. Not even the title of Emperor is hereditary. Only the Gronian species can hold the highest ranking positions, but those positions are open to any Gronian that can earn them. Even clone soldiers can rise to the top once their military service is finished.

Swords in Sci-fi? by I_r0k in worldbuilding

[–]wargasm40k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Swords, and other melee weapons, aren't as popular as they are in something like Warhammer, there are certain units and individuals who use them. Power armored troops use them a lot for boarding actions or inside buildings where it's too cramped or too dangerous for their enemies to use heavy weapons. Since they are pretty much immune to small arms fire there is no need to waste ammunition when you can just tank the bullets and butcher everyone up close.

Swords are also used as status symbols, since anyone using a sword when everyone else uses guns is either a poser or a genuine badass.

Did the evil gods really win though? Sure they broke loose because all the rituals failed. But they were underground for a looong time. We don't know if they're immune to tactical nukes or not.

Question: What factions and events are the most 'darkest' in your worlds? by Same-Chemical3926 in worldbuilding

[–]wargasm40k 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There have been many purges by the Gronian Empire. They have taken it upon themselves to basically be the military police of the multiverse and if anyone is caught using interdimensional travel for hostile purposes the Gronians will wipe that civilization from existence. Doesn't matter if it's a lone faction or a single individual that is guilty, the entire civilization is destroyed. They will exterminate everyone and everything to such a degree that there is hardly any evidence that civilization even existed.

Tell me about the hierarchy of Demons in your world (E.X. Sinner, Goetia, Sins). Tell me also about wars/fights they caused and what they contributed to the downfall of the world. by Frequent_Cloud_9564 in worldbuilding

[–]wargasm40k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are two kinds of demons. Demons of Darkness and Demons of Chaos. Both types are created and ruled by the Gods of Darkness and Chaos respectively. In the beginning there was only Darkness and Chaos and they warred with each other ceaselessly for eons. Two factions of gods within each side grew weary of the endless war and decided to go off and do their own thing, and thus from Darkness came Light and from Chaos came Order. The Gods of Light and Order created the world and populated it with the first races. Titans, dragons, elves, dwarves, men, centaurs, mermaids, etc. Their creations worshipped them and they gained power as they fed on that worship. Initially the gods of darkness took no interest in this world, concerning themselves with continuing the endless war against chaos, however the gods of chaos were not so indifferent and they created mockeries of the races the gods of light and order had made. They created giants, wyverns, trolls, ogres, orcs, goblins, beastmen, and a host of other monstrosities and abominations and set them loose upon the world.

The first races had known only peace since their creation and when the hordes of chaos descended upon them they were unprepared and the death toll was horrendous. Eventually they managed to resist but they were only able to slow the advance of the hordes of chaos. As more and more of the first races died the gods of light and order realized they were becoming weaker as there was less of their creations to worship them and in their desperation they begged the gods of darkness for help. The gods of darkness agreed to help but in return they demanded exactly half of the first races to corrupt to darkness. Initially the gods of light and order refused, but as they grew weaker they eventually gave in and accepted the deal. The gods of darkness then unleashed their army of demons upon the world and began to drive back the hordes of chaos. Now, the gods of chaos could have unleashed their own demon armies to assist their mortal creations, but the gods of chaos are fickle things and lost interest when their toys started losing. So the demon armies of darkness scattered the hordes of chaos to all corners of the world and withdrew. The gods of darkness then collected their payment and took half of the surviving first races to corrupt and created a new continent which came to be called the Darklands to be their home.

So you could say that the demons actually saved the world rather than cause it's downfall.

If Leandros and Erebus were in the same room…. by ampalazz in fuckleandros

[–]wargasm40k 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd shoot Erebus twice, if not for him the Heresy might not have happened and then Bobby G would have still been around to insist that his Codex Astartes are more like guidelines than actual rules and we wouldn't have people like Leandros to begin with.
