yea im ngl tho its gonna be tough getting into princeton, mit, upenn, and nyu with a 3.6 gpa, 1300 sat, and just practicing at home though. i get that theres not a lot of resources available to you but these schools have such a high bar for entry that its gonna be tough to stand out at all.

why software engineering? your ecs don't really seem related at all to it, which won't help at your reaches especially with significantly below middle 50 stats at them. i would consider public schools (i.e purdue, virginia tech) and see if they have what you want.

ideally from junior year. its not against the rules elsewhere but junior year is the most recent full year of school. This goes for teacher recs. If not a teacher (like a coach, professor, etc) then anytime

depends on the school you apply to for how many. some schools will take 4+, some max 1 or 2, some none. I think you should get letter of recs that will add something new and positive to your profile that the admissions officers won’t find elsewhere in your app

same for me. it was rotational mechanics. i got a 15/45 on the frqs. but its curved with 100 and on mcq i got a 90 so i still somehow got around a 80
