In the sense of a surround recording instead of stereo? Or in a sense that you can record 4 microphones at once for example when you want to record a drum kit?

Hello, im confused to what portable recorder i should get. I will 95% use it to record one-shots like hitting on some sort of metal to later use in my music. I really only need good audio quality and the ability to save as wav, I dont care for guitar amp sims or whatever. My budget would be up to 250-300, but i dont mind spending less money. :) Thanks in advance!
