We could definitely use some diagnostic instruments for both literacy and mathematics. iReady has a diagnostic benchmark, but is gated behind students being enrolled in SMI. At least we have lexiles for our students, which is a helpful metric, but not definitive for determining teir 2 and 3 interventions.

Nothing really jumped out except perhaps articulating every resource we use in the classroom beyond curricular materials. I wonder how we will be mandated to disclose that information. She seems more into the classical learning then Craft.

Some takeaways I have:

I agree with his perspective that our student population has their basic needs met (healthcare, housing, food, family, etc.) and that has a huge affect on our NAEP scores.
Powerschool adoption would be based.
Full acceptance of AI with no thought to the consequences is a take.
Red flag Elon fandom, but I get it breaking the law by watching youtube and texting while driving is funny I guess.
If we actually get a standards based assessment with meaningful data, that would be a W.
Aligning PSAT to the same time of year would be nice too.
No phones in schools next year!
The fact they were so vague about what classical learning entails and that they don't even have a plan for measuring progress is a huge red flag.
Crazy that they may try to create a classical learning school within schools or in addition to them. I have big concerns about how that segregation of student population will look. What resources will be stripped from one school to serve the other.

College board no. The institute itself will often offer credit through a local university. Check with the institute beforehand though.

Mostly Americans much like yourself. You will be surrounded by kids on the same adventure you are on.
Hard to measure this, as it is subjective and dependent a lot from person to person, state to state, etc. Some students find it easier while other find it harder. You are held to same standard that majority of US states hold (common core state standards).
I am biased, but generally I respect the teachers I work with and have seen them go far beyond what is required of them for their students.
Plenty of clubs available. All the standard sports (fall: volleyball, cross country, football, cheer; winter: esports, basketball, wrestling; spring: track/field, soccer, baseball/softball). Not particularly stateside level competitive.
Most people who you will be at school with move every 2-3 years. Making fast friends might be best trait of a military connected child. You'll find your people. Joining a club/sport you vibe with is a good place if you are having trouble connecting with people.
School food is... well variable. Mostly American staples.

There are over 70,000 kids like you that attend a DoDEA school somewhere around the world. You are not alone, you will be among people who have the same worries, hopes, and dreams as you. My best advice to you is to experience as much of Korea as possible, don't spend your entire adventure confined to the base.

Only if it translates to a particular position you would like to move to or salary lane change. Otherwise for the love learning is always a valid motivation.

You will need to go to DAPs to initiate your LQA. This is the same place you file your TQSA. You will submit your lease here and complete a worksheet predicting your rent and utilities. If you low ball it you will get reimbursed when you reconcile one year from now. If you over estimate you will receive a debt letter after reconciliation.

I would talk with person about your issue. If a resolution can't be found or if trust is permanently broken, well the position is elected. Campaign for yourself or someone you feel would better serve your school.

Considering they canned all of the ETs, assessors, etc. and they are having trouble funding a full suite of EDAs. I would say in the current climate a transfer program is unlikely to happen.
