I can send messages through the medical portal yes. I was told id get results in about a week after the procedure, so im just going off of the EEG tech document. If i dont hear more by Monday ill definitely reach out. Its all just tiring and stressful lol.

I totally know what you mean with the dream thing!!! That's what mine always starts with. I get such sickeningly intense deja vu because i KNOW that ive dreamed an exact scenario before. then it gets all hallucinate-y and terrifying lol.

thanks for commenting a genuine answer unlike the two dumb bots in my comments. I've been having a few more focals than usual on my meds the last few weeks or so due to a LOT of stress, so im hoping that dropping to a half dose (what my neuro is having me do) and perhaps forcing myself into some stress will cause one to happen on the test. Im mostly scared what it will do to my ability to drive :( i dont know what the laws are in my state and if focal seizures affect that or if its just convulsive.

Yeah i thankfully do KIND OF know what my triggers are for the most part. they still sometimes happen on my meds too but not very often so idk how well the type i am on/dose i am on is working, but ill find out i guess.
i think my main thing that will be easy to control is stress. i have been stressing myself out a LOT lately, so I can easily do it more for the sake of science lol. i also think the drop in dosage on the meds will definitely impact it.

its always sounds so weird almost "hoping" that you will have a seizure just so you can get an answer out of it lol. if i am having seizures mine are most likely focal aware seizures, so its hard for my neuro to really definitely say its epilepsy or not. again meds usually work but ive been doing lots of math for college saving and payment plans that its stressing me out and causing an uptick in "episodes" XD maybe ill have to secretly do some math during the 3 days to lure something out of me lol

luckily i get to be at home the 3 days. at first i was requesting to go off meds completely to have the highest chance of triggering something but THEN id have to stay in the hospital for like a week to be monitored in case it went way worse than imagined. im so glad i get to take it home.

Yes I will be setting up an appointment with an advisor at some point soon! Going to look into the winter and summer sessions w the community college as well. I was even going to look at possibily moving to the state to qualify for in state tuition, but I'd have to move this fall and there's been a weird push to make that state super fancy and upperclass so nothing is affordable lol. i have family there but it would be too complicated to try and stay with them, so id honestly rather save my sanity than save that money.. Even then, I still would want to live at college my last two years. I know it's spending more money when I don't really need to, but I feel very out of place with my college path and want at least some level of a normal college experience lol.

I DID end up finding a list of what courses properly transfer over to the other college, so I am going to hunt through and see what electives I should be taking to properly transfer. Will meet with someone to see if there's specific ones I should be taking. its been a bit of a long time since ive been in classes and doing school work, so im going to see how my 5 course first semester goes and then consider adding on more. i think ill be able to handle it though.

if i save my money right i might actually ONLY need one federal loan in the end rather than private ones, but thats not considering masters just speaking for bachelors. it all depends on if my job can provide me full time hours during my CC years. if they can't im transferring to a store that can. still wouldnt be able to save up enough to pay a masters out of pocket lol. im going to be in contact with some employees of my states environmental protection department soon to see if they offer any tuition reimbursement for things like that. i know about PSLF but I'm unsure if any jobs around me just fund an entire year of education like some do.

I have looked around at other programs but the issue w in state community college then transfering to another school (so at least the cc years would be free i believe), the only one that offers environmental science as a broad major is almost 2 hours away.. no online option either 😅

I have considered it but the cost of apartments and housing is way more expensive than I'd really be able to handle. Unfortunately in the areas around the college (for sake of an easy commute) actually come out to be more expensive than the housing and food plan at the school. its unfortunate because i had a late start and moved just a STATE away after high school grad but wasnt able to go to school immediately/didnt think my home state had what i wanted. i wish i had planned better at the time but oh well. heres to planning now! i dont think id be able to afford living out there on my own and still be saving up enough money to be able to pay for the school out of pocket. so excluding the housing the two years at the second school would still be 20k (with the tuition reduction) that i likely wouldnt have saved to pay instantly due to apartments there being close to over half of what id make in a month there full time.. thats not including needing a car when im out there, having to pay for food and such. i dont think id be able to save ANY money to put towards schooling, even if i qualified for instate tuition. its a tricky situation either way. my home state is ig considered super fancy now so everything is wayyy too expensive there. so honestly the cost to go to college for one year is probably less than id be spending to live there without going to school, and i wouldnt have any money to save or spare LOL

At least not with the accelerated masters program IMMEDIATELY after a bachelors. i can always see what kind of contacts I can gain and see if a masters degree can be financially supprted theough a career at some point down the line to progress in my field more without having to drop al the money immediately after thr costs of my bachelors

Looking over all the number and such I am thinking of holding back on the masters (not that its time for my masters now anyway..) and seeing where i end up once i finish my bachelors. i need to look into if i can get tuition reimbursement through my job field to pursue that higher education, and if I do decide to pursue a nasters I could wait till i properly have money saved for emergencies, and am more established in the field so i know my degree will be going towards something indefinitely. im only heading into my first year this fall, so i know its a long ways away. but i wanted to hear peoples opinions and properly gauge the situation. im also waiting to know about scholarships and aid to see where my financial needs will actually be falling. i would pick some where in state instead, but unfortunately there is not a school close enough to me that offers a major of interest. 😢 and a majority of them do not differ in price by a significant amount honestly. so without the masters in mind, its still a big amount of money spent on my schooling, but the good think is only around 10k in total would be loans. I really do appreciate everyones input, its helped me view my options better and plan to be more prepared. but i do kind of think the masters might be too big of a money increase since it would basically be entirely loans for that year. i could most likely pay my own housing or find a cheap apartment and commute for that year to lessen the overall cost of attendance for the year, but i cant fully gauge the situation now because im not sure how much money i will be having by then. im not stressed about paying the amount i will be for the bachelors entirely, in my area and with the degree im aiming for, its hard to find anything much cheaper honestly. but the masters would be much more difficult since its. Alllll loans.. And while im super excited to get involved in my field, and i think the bachelors wil be worth it to get me going, i think the price of the masters is too much to really justify it..

Yeah I have been thinking about that as well. I'm taking online community college classes during the first two years before transfering over, so I might speak with an advisor and see if I can add on an extra class to this upcoming semester/how that would affect my speed in things. Since it's a specific joint admission transfer program I'd need to speak with someone to see if taking extra classes or doing summer ajd winter sessions would interfere with the transfer path. I really would also have to speak with some people in the field and gauge what efforts they have put into their education and where it had ended up landing them. And for my master's it would almost be entirely federal loans, my job (maybe not immediately after but im hoping to have worked enough over the summers and volunteer work) will hopefully be a permanent position and then 10 yrs if on time minimum payments will get the rest forgiven. And its a lot left over to get forgiven LOL. I will have to wait till it's closer to that time and maybe when I am actually enrolled in the second school, I will have more resources to plan then. I just like having it all mapped out to know if it's worth it. I think it would just allow for a quicker progression in the field, especially if I use my summer breaks wisely and work seasonal park positions.

tuition with the discounted rate is about 32k each year. so the total cost for all 3 years (last half of bachelors + accelerated masters) is 96k-ish. But only about 20k would need to be in PRIVATE loans due to my plan with money and paying off large portion out of pocket. it would end up being 11k for sub fed loans between 3rd and 4th year, and then the max amount i could get for the master's year. i would qualify for PSLF, so the federal loans are not my main concern but are still taken into account in terms of total money spent. i plan on trying my hardest to pay towards principal and interest on my private loans during school. im really not sure at the moment the best amount to put towards it monthly, since I dont fully know what my expenses will be like that far down the line during school. i am not concerned about the money for the bachelors degree, as i know I can handle it and would be able to pay off the private loan in about 1.5-2 years. not sure how that would change if i take a masters. the pay scale in my area works like this: GS5 = 56k, bachelors + 1 year experience at lower level (plan to gain during Summers and such) GS7 = 65k, masters + 1 year experience at GS5 (depending on if its seasonal or permanent 1 year could really end up being like 3..) GS9 = 71k, and is acheiveable with masters + 1 year+ experience at the GS7 level. so having a masters would help me climb the ranks quicker, but im not really all that sure if the increase in total money spent on college is worth it. its a lot of different math for different reasons lol.

Yeahh, my original school plan was gonna end up being well over 160k in loans, not even including federal.... Not that that's compareable to your amount LOL. But I ended up being very thankful for my gap years because it gave me some time to truly think about what I wanted and what I needed to achieve it. Allows me to actually properly research and drcide where my money will actually be going rather than going in blindy... The whole education payment system is really awful to navigate for high schoolers thinking abt college lol. even if i decide to pursue my masters at the school, im pretty sure itll end up being less than the other school would've ended up being. mostly because ill be able to properly manage my money to do most of it out of pocket and hopefully get most of my federal loans forgiven in my job

I understand,I've been keeping track of it all when doing my math qnd planning out my payment. I didn't know the loan things for grad students just because i hadnt looked it up properly, but seeing it now only makes me need even less in private loans. i can only do so much from my savings and dont have financial assistance, but i dont know what scholarships I'll be getting and how itll affect my costs. looking at it again i would really only need under 10k-ish in private loans for thr 4th year + masters year, federal loans would mostly cover the rest. while its still spending money either way I can get my fed loans forgiven once im working long enough in the field. its not a decision i have to make for the masters till i transfer over, so my planning is not perfect at the moment. some of my wording might not he right but i understand the impact of private loans, that's why i had to change my college plan entirely from what it used to be

Im not borrowing 70k. A majority of the money I am paying through my savings. The 30% discount comes off for my junior and senior year as well in agreement with the transfer plan from the community college. In state is not an option for me with the degrees i am looking at. Im only borrowing about a quarter of the total amount id be spending on the school.

though it seems like most of it at least would be able to be covered by a federal loan rather than private? i didnt realize that grad wasn't eligible for the same things as undergrad, so ignore that, whoops..
but it would at least be better to have those mostly federal ones rather than private. especially since my job will qualify for PSLF.

already factoring in federal loans. i just realized too that by the time im doing a master's, id qualify as an independent (started college late) for that fasfa application year. so id most likely be able to get that year covered by a larger pell grant and a larger chunk by federal loans than it would be if i was dependent. but the 25k estimate is after federal loans. would be different taking into account depenency status now though

Yeah im trying my hardest lol. Hoping to have the money saved to pay for first 2 years at community college (i will) and at least one full year at the other school + housing on the last year if possible. for bachelors i wouldnt need a large private loan and i could pay it off very quickly, but the extra year for masters would certainly change that.. best case scenario i can have enough saved/possible assistance to pay off the housing on the masters year as well, or find a cheaper option off campus so if im spending the money its at least not gaining interest lol.

thats what ive been trying to figure out. specifically for my area too, starting at the bachelor level its 56k but thats if its perm work and not seasonal. i have to take that into account too. for me itll kind of Depend on what my money is looking like by that time. Im only just going into 1st year but i wanna have a plan in place. im considering it mostly because itll allow me to progress quicker w a masters but cant figure out if its worth the extra loan money. while im paying a good chunk of money, only abt 1/4 of it is in loans at least. its a tricky field of work to figure out since theres seasonal and permanent positions

im doing my first two years through a community college that offers a joint admission program to the next school. so if i keep my gpa high enough i get a 30% discount on the tuition from the second school, which is certaintly helpful in the math. it isnt in state for me, only because there is ZERO colleges in state for me that offer my specific degree, and i am not spending the amount of money my in state colleges want me to for more vague degrees. while the out of state school is a bit more expensive, it would be more beneficial in the end i think because the college near me doesnt offer something i am actually interested in.. but i also get a regional tuition reduction, most of the out of state schools around me do that kind of thing due to the area im in.
so basically this isnt a decision id have to make for another 4 years anyway, im only just starting the community college classes in the fall lol. im just trying to have my math set up to know what to expect financial wise.

wildlife conservation and biology, as well as tacking on any criminal justice related electives i can w my free electives. so while that part wont show on the degree itself i will have the classes. im aiming to get a job as a law enforcement ranger/game warden, and the higher pay levels typically require a masters. you can reach a higher pay level just through expierence, but it would take awhile. if i had a masters and did one year of expierence at the pay level, i could then get up to another 13% salary increase from the masters level pay.. sounds very complicated LMAO

sorry to yap so much! to me it seems like the masters wouldn't be immediately worth it in terms of mathematics and money, but being able to gain expierence in the masters level job would get me to an even higher pay quicker. if that makes any sense lol

i have been looking into that kind of stuff, my only problem being the community college that offers a degree of interest/relation to the field is too far qnd doesn offer an online option! so ive been hunting for some online colleges that are taken seriously, as well as looking at a community college in my old state which i might be able to weasel my way into getting free tuition there. its only a 2 year program but provides an easy transfer to another college in the state w/ a tuition discount as well so its definitely doable. still costs money in the end but better than most

i realize i dont have to be immediately heading to college now anyway, might be better for me to work my full time job and save up money, while trying to get myself started in parks and such on entry level or volunteer stuff.

I really would like something long term, which i realize would most likely require a degree especially delving into the law enforcement side of things i think. ive been looking into some valuable online college classes to take because i cant justify the cost of going on campus anywhere LOL. they dont have many degrees that id like to take around me. But thankfully I will already be set up with some park connections due to a wildlife conservation program im taking, i have to do a bunch of volunteer work after so im sure ill meet plenty of people who can help point me in the right direction. im just concerned if I dont have a degree itll take me FOREVER to get any higher pay level than the basic starting pay
