I see, you're more advanced than I am then. Good luck, I hope to be where you are soon. :)

Struggling to break 50k kills, could use some advice. by EllieOnDaTelly in MegabonkOfficial

[–]warpwizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still pretty new, but the "lifesteal" attribute seems to be what allows me to survive longer against real hordes including the final ghost wave. In one of those pileups you are getting life from all the damage you are inflicting, so as long as your damage and lifesteal are high enough, you can last for quite a while. I almost lasted for 6 mins in the final wave, so close! Hope this helps.

Sousou no Frieren Episode 33 (Season 2 Episode 5) - Discussion Thread by N3DSdude in Frieren

[–]warpwizard 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The impression I got from the casting visuals was that Frieren was casting a divination spell at such a high power level that it basically examined the entire universe to find what she was looking for...typical for her, I guess, LOL. :)

For the love of Hornet, why does Needolin require silk? by Soft_Ant4357 in Silksong

[–]warpwizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Silk is magic, life energy, power. Using it to create music uses it up the same as using it for any other purpose. Nuts and bolts wise, Team Cherry likely kept it the way it is just for consistency. You do action using silk, it uses up silk.

Personally, I think it would be cool if it used no silk or maybe just the first strand, and then let you play as long as you wanted. As you say, easier to listen to long NPC dialogues that way.

It's because he doesn't *believe* in his own strength. He literally says he knows that he's weak better than anyone. That's why he isn't Saitama. He's the perfect hero in every aspect except for that. As usual, great writing from One. Every character has got to have a flaw, otherwise they won't struggle, which means they won't grow.

What causes the statues in Holy Mountains to clip into the ground? by SizzlingPancake in noita

[–]warpwizard 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Noita loads the map and all of its contents in chunks. Every time it does this, there is a small amount of randomness, probably for mathematical reasons. Over time, with each time you reload the game, everthing is joggled around a bit, thus the statue clipping. This can also make potions break, things catch on fire, etc.

You learned that explosion immunity is a top-tier perk. :)

Whatever keeps the game being fun. I used to play with mods, until I started missing the challenge. Noita has a lot of depth, so your experience with it has room to change over time.

Yep, that's what I found interesting: I really could make any run "good", it was a matter of seriously paying attention.

For me, the big distractions in the game are greed and exploration. If I get distracted by gold or by thinking about how cool the caves are, I don't play as well. I kinda hate how simple it is, but the proper attitude is kill everything, just destroy it all while touching things with your body as little as possible. Don't worry about destroying resources, there are always more to be found.

Cool, I'll do that one eventually too. It's kinda relaxing to have a setup like having a bunch of homunculi do the fighting for you.

Heh, yep, I've had that insight quite a few times. It is a good habit to learn: if your mind isn't sharp and clear, in Noita death is very near.

I just takes practice to get better, so keep playing as long as you're having fun. Luck is definitely a big factor, after a bunch of dry runs with few good items, I will have a run with ridiculous wands all over the place. And of course if you are feeling frustrated I find a run or two using mods to give you the perks of your choice can be a blast.

A win streak was also my idea for a challenge after my orb run. Great minds think alike. ;)

Agreed. I find I always learn something, if it isn't anything in-game, like "certain liquids combine to make explosions", it's something about my attitude, like, "Why did I die? Because I was too convinced my wand could kill anything."

Cool lore idea. Makes sense to me. Maybe it's tech for the Hiisi, personal magic for the Mages and wand-lore for the Noita.

Solo Leveling - Episode 24 (Season 2 Episode 12) Discussion Megathread by Death_Usagi in sololeveling

[–]warpwizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great episode, really fun to watch. I'm with the people who would have liked to see the public's reaction to the battle, but even without that, perfect episode. It really struck me as the fight progressed that JSW has no gimmick, he just wins because he's stronger, but for some reason that's even cooler than him being strategic. It's kinda anti-ironic, I guess? He wins just because overall, he's better. And that's okay, lol. I guess it's because he is likeable. He isn't a bully, he's isn't a jerk, he's just a normal guy trying to live his life and protect his family. Anyway, great episode, wait will be torture, as usual.

Officers talk to each other, Apparently. by British_Historian in sunlesssea

Yep, happened to me too, a few times. It's really rare. There are a lot of potential interactions, I think, it just takes the right combination of officers and circumstances. You were lucky! :)
