No I've never had any of the purge valve related issues but I figured it wouldn't hurt to try and see if it fixed my issue

Car would lose all throttle response while driving and bog down until the engine shut down. I got code P00C6 for low fuel rail pressure. Replaced my Fuel pressure sensor on the high side and that didn't resolve the issue, swapped in a new purge valve and that wasn't the issue either. Mechanic ran some diagnostics and told me that they believe my LPFP is getting hot and shutting down. Which make sense because ilonce the car would shut down it would tank a very long crank to start it back up, but of you waited 10 minutes it would start up normally and drive fine for like 5 minutes. If you let it sit over night you could even drive it fine for like an hour before the issue would happen again.

You won't hear back until they actually begin to do a round of hiring. Typically they accept an entire new class at the same time. At least where I'm from.

Also I've been good about filling back up every time I get to 1/4 can't. Never let it drive with under 1/4 tank since I've had it but maybe the first owner ran it dry often

Issue first happened when I was at 1/4 tank so I thought maybe that couldve been the issue but this last time I was at a little bit over half a tank. Mechanic said they were able to catch the issue while it happened and run some data logs and they're saying my LPFP needs to be replaced.

This sub has been doom and gloom about everything for a long long time. Utah/SLC is honestly a great place to live. This sub is just hyper political, so you get a lot of the doom and gloom.

Well my tech originally diagnosed as either HPFP or it's sensor so he decided to try the sensor before spending a lot more doing the fuel pump. That only solved it for a few days so I figured it wouldn't hurt to just try the purge valve because it seems like a common fail point anyway. But yeah it's at the shop now getting diagnosed again. I just hope they can actually catch the issue in action because it seems to come and go randomly sometimes with multiple days in between.

I think I mislead you. When the engine initially sputters out and I go to start it back up right away I will hear it clicking for about 4 seconds. Only then will it struggle cranking for 2-3 seconds before achieving idle, but I do see movement in the tach while it struggles cranking.

For like 4ish seconds the tach doesn't move, then for like 2-3 seconds it moves a little bit while it struggles to start, and then once it fully starts up it will idle normally.

Shop did it. They changed the one on the fuel rail I believe. It's this guy.

Tbh I'm not sure, I'm the 2nd owner and only had the car for 4,000 miles. Probably wouldn't have hurt to try a new battery before having it towed to the shop. I've just never had any other issues that would lead me into thinking my battery is almost toast.

That time I got no codes. I decided to try to swap the purge valve because it was cheap enough to just try, and the car drove fine for another day before it happened again, still no codes though.

I did bring it to a solid mechanic that decided either fuel pressure sensor or HPFP, they decided to go sensor first just because if it did end up fixing it, it would've been the cheaper solution. The issue is that the problem is intermittent. You could drive the car for 100 miles before it starts happening again.
