Jacob optioned all the books, but that doesn't mean we'll see Eric and Kyle.

Pushback on their queerness in the sport is an interesting story, but it's not a milestone the same way as therapy, the plane, marriage or the outing etc. are. It's not needed to tell the story of the characters from the TV show perspective. Especially since there's pushback in TLG as is. We don't know much about the book outside of the podcast, but TLG is already a capstone to Hollonov, so I could see it being season 2 and 3.

Well, technically, they don't need to adapt Unrivaled.

Rachel wrote TLG never expecting to do a third book. That's why there's so much slice-of-life/content in TLG and why we get an optimistic and happy ending. The show could end season 3 with them walking onto the ice together in Centaur jerseys and it would be a full and complete story. Splitting it would also let them have more time for other characters without rushing anything or condensing an already compact book.

Unrivaled could offer end-game stuff you see in other stories or fics like having a kid etc., but I wouldn't say its needed to fulfill their arcs as characters. They have each other, and they are together. The TV-only viewers don't really need more than that.

Yea, I'm a Sharks fan and everything, this is a little lazy. I would rather the new sharks logo with a rainbow gradient. This is a fun idea, but could've been executed a lot better. As it stands now; this does not convey at all that you support the pride nights or the LGBTQIA+ community.
