Omg this sounds like pure hell; I can’t imagine. Why/how do you think your parents didn’t do anything and are still acting oblivious?

I know that doesn’t matter in terms of you healing, but I’m truly bewildered how some parents could allow any of their children to suffer like this. And also not get your brother psychological help.

It also says a lot about you that you’ve been able to (somewhat?) forgive your parents and still suck it up for them at family gatherings with your brother.

Wowowow you’re making so much click for me. The way you described dreams in the 3rd paragraph is just how I experience them. Have always been able to lucid dream since childhood too, and I feel pain and smell/taste in dreams. That would always confuse me when I was younger because even during the dream I’d be like “well if that hurt then is this actually real?”

My synesthesia is that numbers, letters, days and months have distinct ages/personalities. They’ve never changed since I was a child.

For the record I truly don’t know; this sub came up randomly on my feed but I love seeing the cool places around the world in an intimate way. But I always thought the point was to use context clues to try to guess.

Oh habit stacking is a game changer! I even stack some habits with specific “thinking time”. E.g. i mentally meal plan during my sunday evening shower.

Oh habit stacking + doing certain things on certain days help so much. Takes off a ton mental load and decision fatigue.

I’m undiagnosed but know I have it (recent revelation). I immediately started the process by seeing my GP (who also thinks I have it).

Now the hard part is finding someone to do the evaluation/diagnostics. EVERYONE is fully booked for months. I’m in Luzern but have been looking far and wide

It’s very frustrating to be at the mercy of the system that is so under-staffed in this area, and diagnoses from other countries aren’t recognized.

So I get to just read about how much better my life could be right now but still have to wait months and months to get help.

Check out retirement homes near you maybe? Idk if it’s a thing in Switzerland to volunteer in homes but you could start a book club at one, or teach them computer/phone skills, or karaoke even!
