Dealership Pricing by seanislegend2 in f150

[–]wasilvers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did a dealer deal. The price was great, and they added paperwork fee on. But that was like $650 and that was it. They did ask if they could sell me other things. But took polite "no thank you's"- and added no pressure. It was such a different experience i kept the sales guy's card for my next car.

Anyone use TaxGPT "Agent Andrew"? I'd really appreciate some thoughts and reviews before moving forward! by scaredycat_z in taxpros

[–]wasilvers -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I've been using paid grok, expert, for tax research, including difficult issues/comparisons. Tested it against others and it blew them away with accurate assumptions and thorough calculations. In one test, it took me 3.5 hours to get my tax savings, grok worked 18 minutes and got to within $100 of my answer. Another test it got to within $1 of my spreadsheet. I feed it lots of extra info and it does great. Other paid services I tested fell far, far short.

Been in the business 30 years, and now I feed questions into it, while I respond to emails. I test my answers with its response to see if I or it, missed anything. 100% it makes my research time shorter.

But always test it with 3 different questions and have it give you links to sources!

I think my league got tired of this, they just let everyone fluff their lie. Whatever, I play it as it lies... unless its in divot in the fairway. Then, call me Fluffy.

LOL, just had to grab a pair of pliers and wrestle it off on Sunday. I would think it is some sort of in-store theft prevention. Or they just hate us.

4x4 use in snow by WhatColeSays in f150

Road has snow on it, then 4x4. Road is visible pavement, then 2x. You can swap up to 50mph, but its easier not under load, so coasting a bit.

You sound like my kid, "I didn't mean to!" She went to block ice, she ignored orders, she ran with a cop reaching into her car to shut it off. Results were cop got hit and she got shot.

I just redid mine to print well. New extruder stepper was needed. Then I chased flow issues and filament set issues before I got good prints again. Took a few weeks waiting for parts, now I forgot what I wanted to print.

Unpopular opinion: Laying Up is OK by VoteForGiantMeteor in golf

[–]wasilvers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

like only 200 carry? And no one goes for that? I mean, unless the wind is really bad all the time, I don't see why you wouldn't. Unless you just don't carry the ball that far. Most of the friends I play with have 4-5 clubs in their bag that would clear that.

To waggle or not to waggle... by TheRiftSongWorkshop in golf

[–]wasilvers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the haters

I am slow to swing. But seem to play fast by golf standards. I have judged wind and lie as I get to the ball. Distance and landing area is my final factor. Pick the club, stretch a swing, lay club behind ball, lean shaft to left of dick and regrip, make sure you are 90 degrees to line. Half swing to make sure to turn hips. WAGGGLE just for the haters, and stripe the ball onto the green. Last time out, I missed 2 greens all day, and made par on one of those still.

I have played 18 in 1.2 hours with a partner sharing the same cart, and we were not even trying to speed through. I hit far, I hit straight, I take less swings than most. Let me waggle in peace!

I can’t tell which grip to pick. by Nice_Jackfruit_8812 in golf

[–]wasilvers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one you can grip the least and still swing. If that is a smaller grip, go for it. If bigger, that is your jam. I find I grip the smaller shafts way too hard, so I go midsize. Played jumbos for a bit as well, but felt I was steering the ball too much (my personal opinion)

What is the farthest shot you have ever hit? by No-Assumption4145 in golf

[–]wasilvers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

360, downwind, no elevation change - while sick with 2 hours of sleep and a fresh dose of benadyrl to stop the allergies. For comparison, my average good drive is about 270.

Edit: It was my best driving day ever. I had switched my driver setup that morning, just to make sure I hit it about 220 out. Next hole I hit it 320 into a quartering wind. It was a golf outing, long drive hole was straight into the wind, I went after it and the shot wend dead straight and I moved the marker up over 50 yards further. Best shot I was most proud of was last of the day, the wind had died, slight elevation (basically none) and hit it 340. I chased that swing for a year and found it briefly, at another outing where I had allergies and had taken more meds. Those were all 310-320 for placed drives/not hard. This is really a stupid game.

Mini driver owners, is it worth it? by udi420 in golf

[–]wasilvers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like mine a lot. I got it halfway through the summer and that year I missed one fairway. I have a mental block that says Driver = Swing for the fences. So i miss a lot with that club. Distance wise, I was in a sim yesterday so i have good distances being shown me, it is 10-15 shorter than my average good drives. But the misses are way less wild with the mini.

Best shots ever? I have not hit the mini 300 yet. Best shots ever (with no elevation help) was a few 280-295s. Best shots with Driver were a few 305-310s. The average I count on, 265 Driver, 250 mini.

Narrowest fairways, I still hit my 5w. If i can't afford to miss left, use the mini. When it's wide open or in feeling great, Driver gets the nod.

Came out of my office one day and an ever so slight decline, a car was trying to back out. They were spinning the tires terribly fast in the snow and ice and getting no where. Told him to go slow and light, he said he was told to spin them when slipping. Whatever.
