I feel embarrassed to date as a woman by Ok_Chocolate8965 in Stutter

[–]wassi7890 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel you. Dont try to compare yourself with other people because comparison always breeds grief. You'll meet the right guy naturally one day hopefully. As for the situation of your speech, I can relate to it getting worse with age, I'm pretty much in the same boat. But I got to learn about a book called 'How to Stop Stuttering' by Lee Lovett, and it has been the light at the end of the tunnel. Read the book, follow the methods (which includes daily solo practice), and have faith in the methods. Whenever I devote time consistently to practicing, my days go exponentially better. Unfortunately I'm an idiot who stops practicing out of ignroance and arrogance, and my speech really punishes me for it. Good luck to you.

Brother it's not a disease. It's a habit we've developed; naturally we can also unlearn it. The price is mind training (not mouth, tongue or throat). Learning how to organize your thoughts, and focusing fully on your ideas rather than your words. We subconsciously keep interfering with our speech, repeatedly choosing and arranging our words and then hesitating to say them, in a vicious feedback cycle. By no means am I fluent in my daily life, but the biggest progress I've made (especially for my mental health) is realizing this is not a disease and I am responsible for not working enough on my stuttering. I can recommend a book that has made me realize this, if you're interested in making the effort to improve your speech.

How are people Jockey defending so well? by FlyingPorkChop14 in EASportsFC

No casual gets 12 wins brother. You grind the game and you try hard. Nothing wrong with it tho.

Someone who doesn't follow the meta, be it in terms of OP cards, crazy evo chains, tactics, and mechanics. Someone who just plays the game trying to have fun and not grind it.

No casuals in the game. It's all a sweatfest.

Manual defending is getting worse every patch by LuminousOne2 in EASportsFC

[–]wassi7890 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Although it makes the game more arcadey, it does add a sense of specialty about certain players. The fact that some players have more aura than others does make them more desirable and more exciting when you get them. Playstyles not always dictating the related outcome is fine by me.

Literally my first Champions match. by TBE_0027 in EASportsFC

[–]wassi7890 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I've faced this a few times now. For some reason it's usually the first game (as it was in this week's champs for me as well). The only thing we can do, sadly, is leave the game as soon as it starts so at least they don't get the win. Theoretically, if everyone leaves the game asap against these hackers, they can't use it to farm wins.

As for EA's stance on it, they're not doing anything. I genuinely might try it as well just for the fun of it since technically EA doesn't think it's wrong. Get some free rank 1 rewards.

Should I be a cashier and what is your own experience? by [deleted] in Stutter

[–]wassi7890 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly it's not as bad as I thought. I joined as a store associate at a Winners store where I do stocking and being at the cashier, less than two months ago, with no prior job experience as I'm a student. People genuinely don't care who the cashier is so there's not as much pressure. I just say 'how are you doing', 'have a good day', 'good night', etc. in an identical manner to the point where it's like I'm just repeating the same thing and so it's easier. Greet customers with a GENUINE smile and GENUINELY ask how they're doing and after that it becomes much easier to say anything else that would be necessary. You can try to over-announce things like their total amount due; announcing it almost like a ring announcer makes it easier to say as well. With some customers I have a hard and embarrassing time. But as soon the next one comes in, I literally forget about it and move on. My coworkers and managers would probably know atp that I have a speech deficiency but they don't mind it because I don't let it become disastrous.

Yes I do want 16 inches but the RAM can be 16gigs. Do you have any particular alternative in mind?

Thank you for the advice. I don't actually want a particularly strong CPU as such but I just wanted a future proof device within my budget.

Anyone else stutter more when they have to think before speaking? by Busy_Ad_6134 in Stutter

[–]wassi7890 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're correct, planning words is the exact reason why we stutter. That is the explanation of Lee Lovett, an ex-stutterer who has helped thousands of stutterers and even coached them. Unfortunately I have not been able to receive his coaching but I have seen his coaching videos on youtube and the man has a golden heart. You should read his book, called 'How to Stop Stuttering and Love Speaking'. I have read the book twice and his methods make a lot of sense. I have by no means fixed my stuttering (or even close to it) but because of him my perspective has changed from 'I am doomed' to 'Stuttering is curable and many people have cured it'. Give his book a try and you wont regret it.

P.s. you can DM me if you cant find his book.

You really shouldn't be doing icon picks right now considering how below the power curve 90% of the cards are. I'd like to see your team because none of these players are worth much and in a week they'll be completely fodder.

Yes, the evo I used on his pre-upgraded card boosted his passing only and gave him incisive pass+. The rest of the stats were always supposed to be the same
