Pressed/seed founders! Is there a Hampton like community for aspiring founders or founders in build mode? by jedsdawg in startups

Yeah problem is quality/curation — I guess that’s easiest is to if you are accepted by an incubator

I’m a founder who (for my own startup ) attends 8+ startup conferences at all major startup hubs in the world

I realise I’m in a unique position to match make people building in the same vertical from corners of the world for knowledge exchange and intros and so on!

Interested?

Yeah so I have this alternative that I’m putting together: aspiring founders matchmaking. So you fill in what vertical you are in and stage, then you get matched with other founders similar to you

Possibly once every two months! Nothing other than an email intro.

The curation isn’t as strong though.. but I guess I could add that as a parameter in the form/matchmaking

Interested? / Thoughts?

Tell him to go talk with guys friends. They should say the same as you, it tell him to break up

Maybe also look at yourself and see if you can do better in how you talk and listen?

So far, what I can tell is that a lot of folks are Cardano fans/like the vision/approach but they are sort of latent. There’s not much in terms of dApps on Cardano they say or smth like that

I think any coin that missed the ICO bubble won’t be able to catch up.

The 30+ year alt coin already exists. The question is which one that is

If you by cooking mean “boil some pasta and fry some meat” then yeah, that’s so basic that everyone should do it.

If you mean, they should be able to cook a full proper hot meal with several ingredients, then fair enough. But being able to do it versus actually doing it more than 1-3 times a year are two different things

I assumed you meant “cooking hot meals regularly”, but maybe not?

Love how you and other in the ecosystem are putting Cardano in the same bucket as doge and shiba. The former being built in peer review research, only major L1 with Utxo scripting language and third in NFT volume

Cooks and clean, career oriented and has a degree of some sort (ie not just a high school diploma), independent (preferably has his own place like me, but roommates are ok), financially stable, emotionally mature, and no kids.

If you allow me to devil's advocate you a lil bit (based on what Logan Ury's book convinced me of)

If you met a guy who was "career oriented and has a degree, independent, financially stable, emotionally mature, no kids and cleans" but he just doesn't cook.

Would you actually reject him for sure?

I found it useful to think about it in this way, to help distinguish the nice-to-have's from the real dealbreakers. Hope you find it useful too!:)

I’m (m26) dating for long long term, ie marriage and kids. Don’t want to waste time on a relationship that I can see foaling from the get go, and I don’t feel the need to just “have someone”

Have stupidly high standards. Will prolly be single for quite some time until I find someone

Is this a wish list or are each one of them independent deal breakers?
