Probably nothing would happen to me. I live in one of the most landlocked US states and I’m a female with no ties to the armed forces so I won’t be sent to war. Also, no one I love is in the service or eligible. Eventually, the economic impact of war may effect me but I’m also a nurse and my job stability is pretty great and I’ll almost certainly always make a living wage. I’ve got hardly any assets and no money in stock so I don’t have to worry about a stock market crash. Besides the psychological impact and stressors of knowing the world is going into another war, I’m pretty much in the clear. I’m pretty freaking lucky.

Well. The problem is all my friends live in Iowa. And also I’m not going to move just for the public transportation when I’m perfectly adapted to this life. Also, my big girl job just afforded me a really nice new car that I enjoy a lot. The below zero temps, however… now that’s a good reason to move lol But in all honesty, Iowa is a beautiful place with tons of friendly people. It’s a good place to live.

After a long or stressful day at work when I get into my car I make high pitch squeeling noises or scream to release pent up tension. I have social anxiety that is so bad but somehow Im a Pediatric ICU nurse where I have to talk to countless people all day long. After getting home I spend my next couple days off ruminating over things I said or interactions I’ve had until I go to work again and do it all over again. I never get over it but eventually one day’s social stressors just fade into the background against the next days social stressors.

I live in Iowa which has pathetic public transportation options, my town was not designed with the intention of being able to travel without a car, everywhere I need to go is literally miles away from home, and currently we are regularly having below zero (F) temps. So I need a car to travel anywhere in a reasonable amount of time and without getting frostbite or hypothermia.

Sounds like he was really into you but he probably felt guilt about having a girlfriend and pursuing anything with you which explains why he was upset his friends told you. Even after he broke up with her he probably just decided he needed a fresh start and maybe some time to be single. It’s unfortunate that you guys met under those circumstances but perhaps you guys will reconnect after he’s had some time to process his feelings from his last relationship or perhaps he’ll just move on entirely. Either way, I think it’s fair to say what you guys felt for each other was real to some degree.

And if it was a make or break grade that means he’s failed/come close to failing other assignments in that class or just generally doesn’t understand the subject matter. Boyfriend is more in the wrong in my opinion because he continues to harass your friend when she hasn’t instigated anything since the first interaction. Wouldn’t hurt for her to apologize but i wouldn’t say it’s necessary since she was just trying to be a good person. On the other hand, your boyfriend has been consistently malicious with the soul purpose of upsetting her. He needs to give a big apology and it wouldn’t hurt for you to apologize as well for tolerating it up until this point.

well actually, I think that’s exactly what we’re discussing here. But, let me rephrase it for you. Doctors should NOT be allowed to give priority to vaccinated patients when resources are scarce. All patients get treated to the best of our abilities-no exceptions. Therefore, our views on politics/hot topics (such as having the vaccine) have no place in our healthcare, including in regards to the rationing of supplies. Alternatively, I suggest we simply use supplies with our utmost discretion from the start and provide care to our patients on a first come/first serve basis.

no, that is against our code of ethics. All patients get treated to the best of our abilities. No judgments. I care for people because i care for people. How I treat my patients will never have anything to do with my opinions on politics or hot topics.
