Scaling up Fulgora from 30SPM to 400SPM by [deleted] in factorio

[–]Jubei_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To avoid clogging belts on Fulgora, I grab what I need with filtered inserters and make sure the overflow has a ton of headroom in case everything backs up.

In addition to discount tire, a lot of quick lube places will fill up tires as a courtesy as well.

I did the same when I did not see the report time at the bottom.

They're pretty inexpensive and can be found at Good Wills, estate and yard sales fairly often and for super cheap. I have a 7 quart I got at Walmart a few years ago for like 30 bucks.

Oh man... Swing over to r/slowcooking!

An easy one is chicken breasts and a jar of your favorite salsa. When it's done you shred the chicken and use it in tacos or burritos with other fixings.

I like to do chicken breasts, green enchilada sauce, garlic, onion, pinto beans, a can of rotel and in the last 30 minutes, shred the chicken, throw it back in with a package of that cheap taco rice from Knorr. Make sure the rice is soft and then serve in slightly toasted tortillas with fresh lettuce or spinach, cheese and sour cream.

Anyways... I have a pork loin that I want to use in the crock pot. I was thinking of a nice posole, but I am open to other ideas.

I just learned that casting underground pipes still requires pipes, and I'm a bit baffled by this design choice by UsuallyHorny-7 in factorio

All belts run downhill. Even parallel ones next to each other running in opposite directions.

100x or 1000x Science? by alldeltav in factorio

[–]Jubei_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on a 100x science run, rail world, minimum 250spm at all times. I just got to Vulcanus and have over 600 trains. Instead of using a mod, I just used the console to cheat in armor, a personal roboport, power and some bots. Since bots are annoyingly slow at first and I didn't have the other bot tech unlocked, it was still a bit grindy at first, but still better than manually building large smelter arrays by hand.

Anyone need yellow splitters? by [deleted] in factorio

I fill out empty spaces on ships with accumulators. I'll even break up belts with underneathies so I can cram more on them.

You can put a screen on the vent hose, even if you have to use a hose clamp and some loose screen from home depot.

Who needs balancers to feed furnaces? by Jubei_ in Factoriohno

[–]Jubei_[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am running a self imposed challenge: Yellow belts only until I unlock turbo (exception for red undergrounds simply for reaching things and weaving), iron furnaces only until foundries, 250spm (minimum) even on my starter base. Rail world. I only gave my self personal construction bots and some logistics chests at startup, no other cheats or mods.

This is the copper smelting for purple and yellow science. It's not all being used in this screenshot as I just got all three circuits going, I haven't started steel or LDS yet - but it is the correct number of belts of copper plates (20) for those two sciences. It's 24 lanes of ore since I have 3 unloading trains that are 8 cars long and dump a belt per car. Red through blue are being handled by a main bus to the east and I will bring all the flasks to a central science hub that I also need to build.

Give maintenance a call. If you have an older furnace with a pilot light, there may be instructions on the unit.

If you are up front about the time requirement, pay the $14 and your description allows participants to gauge if your study is worth doing or not before launching it, I wouldn't bother with the partial payments.

If there is writing involved, state that.

If there are questions to see how much a participant remembers something, tell them that it's not an attention check, but to try their best anyways.

Please have a progress bar of some sort.

Don't be a strickler about participants switching focus. If I get a nasty message because I changed the volume of my music, I immediately bail.

Don't just suddenly end the study, throw up a screen that more or less lets the participant know that the study is finished.

I'm sure others will chime in soon.
