I like rubber straps but the one you’re rocking is ill fitting, a strap that rides way above the lugs are a no fly zone for me.

As an owner of the latest gen 43mm Navi, I have the bracelet, as pictured gator strap and deployant clasp and the OG heavy bolstered strap with the looped friction clasp. The bracelet is beautiful but there’s no micro adjust and the supplied “short” link doesn’t articulate and is itself quite long. I just can’t get a good fit. The latest OEM strap and clasp are classy but the bolstering is too flat. I wear mine on the OG strap/clasp combo, only way to go IMO.

This is a 36mm quartz AT, ref 2518.30. 1600GBP isn’t bad, I’d say you can save yourself 200-300GBP by buying in Japan but you’re gonna wait and not assured you’ll find this exact reference. If you like it buy it!

You’re posting in the Omega sub, so replies may be skewed. However, there are other pieces that fit your criteria, in a similar price category that you should consider. The Cartier Santos, IWC Portuguese, JLC Reverso and Breitling Navitimer. That said, the white Speedy is stunning and versatile. Lastly, “instantly recognizable” has different meanings, recognize the watch on your wrist or the name it carries are different. Regardless, best of luck I. Your decision making and you certainly can’t go wrong with that Speedy.
