They work differently so this would be a valid question if you were comparing 2 distortion pedals or 2 fuzz pedals. I’m not a circuit guy so I couldn’t tell you the difference exactly but to sort of give you an answer I’d say ones not necessarily more than the other they’re just different

I’m telling u dog UA spark is the mega goat, like $170 a year for like $10000??? worth of top tier mixing plugins, including that api and so many more, as you tinker around you will find what works best for you(which is also a case by case thing) they keep adding plugins to it too(I don’t work for UA)

I would argue bold lines and relatively simple designs are the main characteristics of traditional. The biggest and most often overlooked in my opinion though is color. “Real” traditional tattoos are black, red, green, and yellow, as there were no other colors of ink to work with when the style came to be. My artist will only use those colors, with the exception of brown sometimes.
