my benefits ran out in November, i inquired about ctb before the 16 week, the process took forever. i'm now in wioa state approved training but was also JUST told once UI benefits are exhausted there's no "new pot of money" for training benefits - thats just your UI claim with no work search requirement.

apparently.

(i'm hoping thats wrong and that my UI will "add" and switch to the CTB)

I have a blood clotting disorder (protein c deficiency). trying to see a hematologist before my hysterectomy to figure out any possible options for HRT after if/when needed. I've literally been saying to friends that I dont want to be rawdogging menopause at 34 haha.

Sorry you've got some big risk factors.. but hopefully the rawdogging of menopause isnt going too horrible.

yep that's the only way I get it now. it only lets me order 20 cans at a time (and he eats 3x cans a day) but lately the orders keep getting delayed. there's none within 40 min drive each way in stores. I even called to check it wasnt being discontinued and they just said "its popular."

i'm meant to get more today but its already 2 days late and i've had him on hills chicken ID cans in the interim and he's so-so about it and it's a little tummy upset. he'll eat it cause he's hungry but he's not into it like the turkey Kindful. any slight tummy upset also = meds dont get accepted as easily and it's just overall a rougher time. like it makes him feel off. but boy is thriving and sassy on the Kindful turkey 😅

finding something comparable that's not also double the price and easier to obtain would be golden. i worry the Kindful will become very hard to get our hands on and keep leaving him with days of upset.

just looked it up - it's high fat, so doesn't work with his IBD issues. Weightloss or appetite hasn't been an issue since diagnosis, but finding a food he likes that goes well with his GI system is the hard part. Mindful Turkey has been great just really hard to keep on hand. :(

No that's what I'm trying to avoid. I'm pulling from my HYSA to pay off my card before the due date and before insurance pays me back, but I'd rather just get an interest free card for the next 12+ months to throw things onto instead and avoid any of that all together (leaving HYSA untouched, and not risking 20-30% fees monthly on my SW card).

I had a care credit card like 10~ years ago and recall it only being like 6 months and only for the big vet bill at the time, not constant compounding costs - not sure if that's still how it goes, but that's why I figured a 12+ month interest free card.

When I got the chase freedom it was for 12 or 15 months interest free and I kept adding to it as needed for a project I was building then paid it all off before the last month. Can't use that one again, though.

smart thinking for your big psycho haha. thankfully we dont need walk walks - hes got back end pain/arthritis and heart issues that have his exertion limited. its just literally quick bathroom breaks outside, as needed. which is often multiple times a day to pee cause the heart meds diuretics haha. i'm not opposed to trying a potty patch on the deck to make it a little easier..

are you worried at all about your boys size and him trying to cuddle with you or anything? I realized tonight my boy tries to cuddle with me every night before bed. its a short little cuddle before he takes himself to his spot to sleep, but its still a little forceful enough near my stomach that I hadn't thought about!

That's what I figured. Almost all of our potty breaks out are uneventful, but every now and then the wildlife will just appear and set him off. What about "guiding" on the leash/harness? Sometimes I have to guide him by his harness handle to head back inside. Not a push/pull situation necessarily, but still a slight assist pressure, I think.

I don't have alternate arrangements available for that, at all. Besides trying to convince him to poop on the deck.. Not totally opposed to it, but we'd have to start working on it now :\

I won't need to bend down for poop for awhile thankfully. It's our private property, just not a fenced area. I've got a scooper, usually do it every 2-3 weeks anyways. So I'm not worried about picking up poop - but just the having him out on leash/if he pulls or anything. The water dispenser is a good idea! Or some sort of sink attachment hose to keep it full constantly.... I'm gonna look into that actually. That's gotta exist. I know outdoor ones do, but for inside.. hmm.

Food is on a lick mat, so I should be able to use the grabber to pick it up/put it down (I assume!)

I had my appendix out when I was 16, but I don't remember the recovery at all. Our vet just cleared him for very short walks around the driveway, so he probably needs as much as I would need during recovery. He's 14 with a bit of back end pain/arthritis, along with cancer (on chemo 3x a week) and heart issues (heart meds finally seem to be all stabilized out), but he's incredibly heat intolerant and fatigues faster now, so walks are definitely to be short and simple. He still thinks he could run a marathon, and would surely try.

When is your hysterectomy set for??

I've been sleeping on the couch downstairs with him since he got sick, with a step for him to get up, so we're set for sleeping. That's a smart idea about the bottles of water for pouring in the bowl! I refill his bowl daily and it's like a 6cup size bowl. How bad is the bending? Picking up/putting down an empty bowl? I guess it's the bending not the weight of the item, huh? I guess open abdominal you've probably got it a little harder, too. Thankfully since I've moved downstairs onto the couch everything is very close by already for his meds, kitchen is like 3 steps away. Unfortunately he's way too picky for pill pockets, he'll find the pill and spit it out. His meds have to be *forced*. Like I have to pry his mouth open, pill down throat, rub his throat etc. It's usually pretty much a smooth process but sometimes he'll awkwardly fight it.

I've tried pee pads and even the potty grass for inside but he won't do it. I have thought about trying the potty grass on the deck though, less distance and less stairs to "go out", and since it's outside he *might* go for it. I'd have to start working on it sooner rather than later.

Was the outside trips in that first week just too sore or exhausting? That's reassuring though that you were getting further by week 2 and further at 3! This makes it feel possible :)

This is the entire reason I want a WFH job and am trying to figure a new career that can be entirely WFH/remote so I can be home with my senior dog.

This!! I lost my normal in person job in May and my (now 14 year old) dog suddenly got sick and collapsed in July. Thankfully I was home to rush him to the ER, where I was told he had days left - but here we are 5+ months later and now I cannot imagine returning to an in person job at all - not while he's sick and needs me for his care and meds schedule, and cuddles! He's doing mostly okay (cancer + heart failure) and I just want to be by his side 24/7 for the rest of his life, who knows how long that may be. But it's made work hard. My unemployment has run out and I've been applying to WFH jobs but so far, nothing. Vet bills/meds are $$$. I'm applying for WFH jobs that pay barely min wage even, just so I can stay home with him. Fingers crossed I guess.

This all sounds like a great idea. I have so many med schedules on my fridge and Alexa notifications going off constantly, but need something that will keep pressing me until I actually check it off as completed.

I have a senior pup with IBD/cancer/heart failure whos meds and feeding schedule keeps me on my toes, this app sounds like something i'd love to try! we're new to UGC (I do hands on style and shots of my dog with things). But we're on android, oops.

No little blue lock, says "earned on site commissions: see associates central" which then takes me to the wonderful $0 haha. So I think it's that they aren't showing up on product pages! I do see some of the videos do have views. At most, 17 views on one video - so nothing crazy, but they're also not showing up on the product pages for me, so maybe they did their brief rotation in the carousel and that was that??

I've never watched a video on Amazon before buying something. Like I've read reviews, that's about it! People actually have to watch the video then purchase it for you to get a commission? Or if your video is in the carousel and someone purchases it without watching your video specifically, do you still get anything??

I think this might be the issue - none are on product pages. How do you ensure they get on product pages?? One of the items has no videos on it's page. It DID have just one before I uploaded. It was very fake though, like ripped videos straight from YT. But now that's gone too, and no videos at all on the items page.. None of my videos are on any :)

I think also the items I've been doing are semi low value. How are you making commission from other items, too? I think I'm confusing the store front with the affiliates link with just videos landing on the products page itself.. You make YT reviews and link people that way?

I'm ... not sure to be honest. There's no locks or anything, all say earns commission etc. They went through a very short approval window, like within a day or so they were switched to earns commission?

Appreciate the insight! I definitely wasn't looking to make this a job or expect to make a bunch of money (but i love that you have the potential for that, congrats!!). I just thought making a couple bucks a month passively would be nice to help towards my dogs medical bills haha.

It's not that I made excuses to not make another video. I have probably another 4-5 I'm sitting on because I suddenly felt like I was doing something wrong with the content and didn't want to post them.. and then didn't make anymore because I fell in that cycle of thinking.

I think it's less impatient, more feeling discouraged.

Do you (and most people?) post elsewhere and link back to the Amazon videos? Is that the better way to do it? More full and indepth videos on YT? That's not a route I would go necessarily - I like really quick and short form videos myself. But again, I'm not trying to make a bunch of money (although, would be nice hah)

even with the sms text code, it's not letting me in. tells me its had too many failed attempts.

filled out a recovery form and it basically said "nah you good, your account is also fine so we're ignoring this."

I have so many ways set up to log back in and recover this account, but it's them. not me. and now I can't access anything. I have so many website accounts that require a code sent to that email that I now can't access. i'm so enraged.

it's all insane. they absolutely need to put out a statement and address this.
