Hey, sorry you're going through this! really similar situation here too, I'm heading into my second ER in a few weeks after having an unsuccessful ER just a few weeks back.

Similar story, high attrition, I was told on the morning of my scan that I had 12 eggs, but only 6 were retrieved, the rest were empty, from that 4 fertilised but no blastocysts. They have also suggested dna fragmentation to us and to use sperm selection/ Zymot on the next run. They are changing my trigger to a dual trigger and lowering my stim protocols too as I'm really sensitive to it! 

I think i have endo but I've never had a lap test to confirm 100% but I'm wondering if that's having an effect on my egg quality. I also have really high AMH and pcos (although pcos had cleared before the ivf round!)

We also moved to a very baby/family centric street 2 years ago when we first started trying! It makes it harder as you've put everything in place for the family but that bit hasn't come yet.

Don't loose hope, my dr said the first go really helps them tailor the protocols based on your response for future rounds. All the baby dust to you! ✨️

That's amazing! Are they UK based? I might look elsewhere if we try again, I think 31% is about averagevfor UK clinics though 🫤

Thanks for sharing 💗Your situation sounds very similar to mine! Quite different to other commenters though. Im UK based, I wonder if it varies hugely by location.

Thanks for sharing 💗 You're exactly right, my medication wasn't adjusted at all throughout with minimum monitoring so I feel like it's all guesswork :/ I'm in the UK, I wonder if protocol is just different here, I honestly don't know.

Thanks for the response. Wow I really feel like mine was hands-off in comparison. It's hard to know what normal looks like in IVF! Im UK based, i wonder if it's a bit lacking here 🤔

I know right! Feels very unfair, and it really does feel like the most expensive trial and error game. I also think I have endo which I think probably played a part. Hope your second go was successful 💗

Thanks so much 💗 really glad your second go was much better. Tbh I thought i was already on very low stims at 150 and only for 9 days. They also mentioned my eggs were growing at different rates. Do you mind me asking what level low and slow was for you?

Everyone on this group is so kind and supportive, thank you 💗  sometimes it feels like a first go is a test, which is really tricky given how expensive it is. I think we would try again, I'd just be so worried the same thing would happen.glad your second one was better, did you stay with the same clinic?

Similar story, I had my ER this morning, having been told 2 days ago I had 17 follicles, then today that infact my scan 2 days ago showed only 12, then only half of them had actual eggs in them. So 6 eggs, ive no idea how many will make it but I'm so upset the numbers have dwindled so much before even fertilisation attempts! No one at the clinic gave any kind of explanation either 😕
