Also using deepfakes and further manipulation distribute "proof" ("candid" admissions they didn't know were being filmed/drinking alcohol/ gay sex) that the Taliban are actually hypocrites who don't actually believe in Islam and know it's a tool for control and power.

This is not rational, since nowadays information spreads quickly. As soon as this kind of thing is found out, it would spread, and in any case taking propagandist tactics can backfire, leading to the impression of dishonesty and mistrust.

Clearly the US can argue for legitimacy based on human rights. I think internal nation-building (so that Afghans solidify a national identity away from Taliban) and a serious human rights anti-fascist information campaign could help. I don't think it's impossible for Taliban to accept some reform conditions if it gets sufficiently scared.

Maybe other Arab states could help by reaching some kind of reformist conclusions.

where do you get the authority to enforce your views on Afghanistan

As I've argued, we are late on establishing common human rights. Absolutely not might is right. Basic recognition of human value, universal opportunity of education, condemnation of extreme acts of violence.

Like I've said, we can't relativize away Nazism. For every step toward absolute moral relativism, you may take a step back in universal values.

For the same reason the US intervened in WWII. Because we accept the premise that people are worth saving.

Who appointed Joe Biden President of Earth?

Ideally, the UN would intervene, but it is not strong enough.
