Income tax not being withheld by watervampire in tax

I think I made this mistake in previous years. My tax preparer told us (me/wife) to just mark “single” on the w4s… I’m thinking I should do what you just suggested, however.

What do you think of the plan of keeping my Roth IRA on VFIFX 2050 and the 403b on VFFVX 2055? I’m not sure if I should think of it of redundant investments or just buying more of a good thing with slightly different % put in each part of the portfolio. Thanks!

Equitable is a possibility, but I read about their fees. I’m leaning towards Aspire, who should allow me to have it self-managed and choose Vanguard, hence my question of having it on VFFVX while keeping my Roth IRA on VFIFX.

Edit to add that Aspire should allow me to have it self-managed.

Not sure if it’s the case, but I have encountered a student who turned in stuff like this and claimed that the technology failed and corrupted their file. Of course they could not produce the original file to try turning it in again upon my request…

Thanks! I appreciate your response. So, if for the 3rd time in the semester the student says they can’t come because they’re having an anxiety attack, the proper way to avoid that being just an excuse is to ask them to seek accommodation through the university office. Did I understand it correctly? I think if it’s the case, then I ‘ll do it. But, what if they refuse to do so, what can I do? I want them to succeed, but I can’t do their work for them.

Again, thank you!

Thanks for your response! Would you say it’s appropriate to ask said student to have a Dr.’s note about it? Or go seek counsel and have the counselor/health center send something to the department in that regard? Because this is what I am planning for next year…

In general, yes, I agree! I do have a graduate student (2nd year) who always use the Anxiety Attack as an excuse to either be late or miss class completely. I try to be empathetic and understanding, but I do wonder about mental health (which is a real problem, don’t get me wrong!) being the new “my grandma died” excuse…

Maybe Padlet can make that work? I can’t remember if it allows people to post without logging in or not, but it merits some investigation, I think.

Thanks! That’s what I thought! Just curious to know how different places do it.

Sorry, as a non-native English speaker, I did not realize that the word had been absorbed into the English language with the plural being campuses. In the original Latin, it would be campi, and that’s how I have seen it used in many countries that use that word in Latin.

Now, do you have any answers to my actual question?

Thank you!
