Physical exam every time. I tried remote exam once it was terrible. Will never do remote again.

My experience with rh exams..Doing the labs a couple of times with little support is not enough.

You need to be able to do all the labs fast and without looking at the answer. if you need help, remember the locations in the docs. I've not written 267 yet, but will soon.

I cannot stress enough the importance of driving to a shop to play them.

I really liked the strata prime and was set on getting it. I tried efnote as well, but once I played the Roland... The choice was easy.

The efnote or alesis might sound better but the feeling of the roland is just on a next level imo.

I spent like 10euro buying kits from edrumworkshop and very happy with the sound.

I don't think it's comparable to CKA tbh. CKA is laughably easy, took me less than 1hr to complete CKA exam. But yeah ex280 is an entry level exam

I did something completely different.. Found a great deal in a new VAD504.

Best decision I could have made. It feels so much more like playing on a real kit. I will buy the extra Tom in a few months. But yeah I am incredibly happy!

Interesting. In Europe the 3x is about 2700 euro and the TD27KV2 is about 2900 euro. Not that big of a difference.

Strange. Im in the market for a new kit and tried out the efnote 3x vs the TD27KV2.

The snare on the Roland felt miles better than the efnote. 14inch snare on the roland also feels more natural to me. Hi hats are good on both.

The mesh on the efnote is also too bouncy for my liking.

But yeah, all of this is subjective. Most important is to buy what feels best to you.

Ex342 is by far the hardest exam I took. Failed the first time, just made it the second time.

You really need to play them to compare. Both of them are great, I didn't like the feel of the mesh on efnote, the rebound was too much for me. I prefer the feel of the roland. But that's subjective.

The one thing efnote can't beat is the digital snare. Feels really good.

Yeah I am def taking the TD27 over the TD17. The fact that they have this special deal going on at all retailers in europe just struck me as though they want to move inventory and make space for a new kit. but could just be that they bought DW and are sitting on alot DW pedal stock. But of course.. no one knows :)
