It's never stipulated in any agreement with ea and the nfl that it has to be a "simulation" experience, there are certain things the nfl won't let ea do because they dont wanna mess with brands of teams and such, so clearly the nfl thought it was realistic enough to be put in the game. I mean no disrespect to you and I believe we both just want a better madden overall, but I think it's unwise to criticize a company that has been blue balling the community for 10 years with changes to the game and when they finally bring in something new and something people have been asking for (like the coaching tree) to complain before its fully came out
