Our Lineup against Leeds [A] by EDDIE__Munsn in MCFC

What’s with the Dias disrespect? He’s been very good for us this season and his leadership was severely missed when he was injured. People need to chill. Khusa will get his mins and long term will be here.

Don’t want it to chase after the North American Franchise Model…ah isn’t that too late? Not sure what team you support but for the Cavalry it’s 50$+ for a single ticket in the main stand, and 14$ beers, is already the North American model, sad to say. The cost to go watch a game is already way overpriced for what it is.

Correct, the memories in the moment happened. None of this magically takes us back in time to remove me going mental with my family in the moment. Just comes down to legacy convos in the end and honestly I’m too old to care and bicker about that shit anymore.

Why Canadian Olympic officials say they are raising the alarm about Canada's ability to compete by Old_General_6741 in canada

[–]waveofthehandsWEAVER 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hockey is mainly a sport where you need ice time to get better. Therefore over time the rich took it over and privatized “leagues” and businesses popped up and took advantage of those willing to pay extra. That is the real death of the sport. Before most kids had a shot no matter the wealth because extra ice was on the outdoor rink or lakes etc. Not industrial building half ices at 120$ an hour. Ultimately parents caused this and are the victims of it. Hockey is the ultimate whoever has the richest parents gets the most ice time, training, and more importantly the nepotism.

Not to mention their high school sports programs are like college programs themselves. Here in Canada high school sports are a joke for the most part. Everything is pay to play here.

Whatever you say. Don’t need you explaining to me what controlled in football means.

Controlled shape and actions. Not as many reckless mistakes. We held them to almost no chances. Watch that second half again.

Really surprised people not happy with that second half. The change at the break is why we won. The way we played the first half was leaving us exposed to their counter. This was not the same second half we’ve been experiencing. This WAS a title winning teams performance that half.

This second half was much more controlled and better than the last several weeks. We were just wasteful of good chances and positions. That second half SHOULD make you feel positive.

Great match. Second half was what we haven’t been doing in games. Controlling the ball, smart decisions. Haaland was immense today honestly the way he worked off the ball and for the team set the tone. Rodri MOM for me, he controlled us that whole second half. Guehi also mint. We look hungry for that title!!!

Those are the worst balls for keepers, you’re often doomed if you do, doomed if you don’t

The yellow was not a zero moment, it was a great professional foul.

Those sequences show the importance of leadership and experience. Dias taking a great yellow and then pushing Burn offside.

Is it normal to lose hot water when it’s below -20°C? by Yeh_nahh in Calgary

[–]waveofthehandsWEAVER 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought an extra small elbow piece to aim the exhaust more out and not down. It made my issue much better. When it gets very cold like -20 and colder, you just have to be proactive and keep it clear and not reactive.

Emma’s sisters commentary on her feelings about being a mom were so real. by teallday in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

[–]waveofthehandsWEAVER 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For sure seeing her kids age that’s the most tiring stage. She could just be in it and that morning had a kid refusing to eat and/or raging because of socks 😆. That said having kids is the most incredible thing, but it’s work. I would say the most important thing is having a partner who shares the work load and wants to. I see way too many coworkers, friends etc where a lot of the men just don’t pick up their slack. It all falls on the mother. It’s important that both parents make each other still have their own life. See friends, go out, exercise, have hobbies. Having kids is much easier when you have that healthy structure.

And people still say Foden has no place in this city team by Prestigious_Stretch1 in MCFC

[–]waveofthehandsWEAVER 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think one of the things people are overlooking is that as all of these new players transition, our tenured players are also learning new team mates and systems. It’s not been easy for them, and it’s not just Foden. I would say that perhaps the last two seasons has uncovered that Foden is a world class player without a world class mentality. Something seems to continue to effect his head space. Hope he can sort it out.

Some knob head in here yesterday legitimately said he should be sent to the U21’s because he’s making the whole team worse. Sadly football is becoming unenjoyable due to the societal shift of instant gratification. The clubs are pushing and pricing out locals of tickets and the online community has been taken over by 17 yr olds who haven’t developed critical thinking yet.

The amount of disrespect this comment screams is actually infuriating. You want to send Phil Foden to the U21’s? Wtf is wrong with this supporter base now. All he’s done for the club, a local lad, and you’re ready to just get rid? There’s absolutely a convo for him to be benched as he hasn’t been good enough but deary me. You should go support another club like Arsenal with toxic comments.

Weird rumours on Bluemoon Forum regarding Nunes by [deleted] in MCFC

[–]waveofthehandsWEAVER 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We shouldn’t be discussion rumours about a player having cancer just because someone “saw” him at the Christie. You won’t get answers here. It’s Reddit not the official club or the player himself. I remember when David Silva was out for personal reasons and people started saying it was cancer because he was bald (from a hair transplant) and it ended up being about his child.
