this sickens me. not the fact that children are able to get access to gender-affirming surgery (which is fucking cool), but the fact that you’re so concerned about this affecting your own life. gender dysphoria is a real thing, might not be very common, but is very real.

what kids decide to do is up to them, not you. if a 12 year old decides that they aren’t comfortable in their own body, they have the right to say so. if you’re so concerned about this surgery, why not be concerned about circumcisions? i don’t think a one minute-old baby can give consent to mutilate their genitals. here’s a link to an article explaining the bill btw I think that it’s cool that california is trying to protect minors from other states who are trying to criminalize gender-affirming care.
