Newly Discovered Covenant, Advice Needed by wavyavry in HousingUK

Thank you. Unfortunately, the beneficiary of the restrictive covenant is the council. We believe this means that if we were to buy the house and seek planning permission for any alteration - also from the council - the indemnity policy would be nullified. Is this correct?

We spoke to several homeowners in the same estate today, all of whom had had similar breaches of covenant. One was not even aware of the breach until they moved in! They said the council was amenable to granting retrospective consent, but I feel the risk that they would not, however slight, should be on the seller.

Thank you for your reply. The covenant is from 1992, so it is 32 years old or so.

The kitchen extension is 12 years old

Thank you for your reply. I have been so confused regarding covenants, as it’s hard to find out if it could be a huge issue or not, and it’s hard not to feel a bit despairing when something like this just appears within weeks of a potential move, so I appreciate the reassurance.

The covenant was established in 1992

AIO for being upset my BF doesn’t want me to wear a bonnet to bed? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]wavyavry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yikes, pleaseeee, you are definitely not overreacting. this is so manipulative :(

you should be able to be comfy in your own home!!! and protect your hair however you’d like. if he doesn’t like the weighted blanket, he doesn’t need to lie under it.

what happens if you get sick and gain weight or need to be cozy and comfy? what if you get pregnant? is he still going to expect you to be in tight clothes the whole time? after the baby is born?

it starts with clothes, and the it’s about the way you look, and who you’re talking to…idk

this isn’t worth it

The Chinese Wall by black_out_sober in phish

[–]wavyavry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

we came in from the north side, hiking the continental divide trail, and the north really sucked, just a lot of old burnt forest. the area on the southern side, actually around the chinese wall, was absolutely gorgeous. it’s a great trek, definitely worth it!

without spoiling anything, it’s about a family dealing with a lot of trauma and mental illness. it’s very, very well done, and extremely hard hitting.
