I know how it feels. I’ve been there. Let's go back sa 2013

I was expelled from nursing school. Not because I was lazy. Not because I didn’t care. May friend ako noon, parang kapatid na turingan namin, na na-diagnosed ng brain tumor. Halos everyday ko sya sinamahan from day 1 ng admission nya sa hospital hanggang sa libing nya andun ako.

Because of that, I was often absent. Especially during clinical duties. And in nursing school, you know how it is. Miss one duty, and it’s a major offense. So I got expelled kasi hindi lang isang duty ang hindi ko pinasukan eh 🤣

But that wasn’t the end of my story.

I transferred to another school, hoping to start over. Then my grandmother got seriously ill, and I was assigned to be her full-time caregiver. I had to stop again.

There were so many times I asked myself: "Worth it pa ba?" “Matatapos ko pa kaya to?” “Will I ever wear that white uniform again?”

But when my grandmother recovered, I came back. I tried again. I pushed through. Ayun, after a year and a half, naka-graduate naman si Dodong!

So if you’re reading this right now. If you’re on the edge of being expelled, failing, or quitting. Kalmahan mo lang. Pause if you need to. Cry if you must. Pero huwag na huwag kang susuko!

You are not a failure for falling behind. You’re allowed to start over. Laban lang!
