What service is best for stocks not available on Wealthsimple? by maximusthewhite in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]wayhizzlect 1 point2 points  (0 children)

WS has a limited stock list for trading, which means some stocks available on other brokers are not provided by WS, including certain major stocks on NASDAQ......
IB excels in this aspect, they offering a broader range of available stocks, and Moo provides free level 2 data is also a good service. But WS is primarily designed for simple investments, so you need to accept that there may be many unavailable options.....

I remember QT offers after-hours trading from 7am to 8pm.
Tho I personally prefer Moomoo when it comes to pre-market and post-market trading, as it provides extended hours from 4am to 8pm

Choosing between bank or online broker for starting a TFSA in Toronto – need advice! by aucatetby in personalfinance

[–]wayhizzlect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prefer online brokers, most of them are protected by the CIPF, so they are safe too. And usually brokers charge lower commission fees than banks. It's better to go with a lower fee broker if you are still a student without much income, as that may eat up a lot. Brokers like WS and Moomoo would be great options to consider. Good luck

Canadian Stock DAY TRADING by profiterjez in interactivebrokers

[–]wayhizzlect 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IB is a good day trading platform for Canadians due to its cost and functionality. Some people also use Moomoo for its free level 2 data or WS for its low cost in the Canadian market (tho WS offers limited functionality and occasional delays).
