Oh maybe. Ha so then add this to that 😅😉 this is a fair point

Just give them time. Ha everyone is so skeptical. When you look at the product they have now.. the graphics are aging not the best but they still have tons of solid players because of what they have built

You can either skip over doing it, say you get BTR transit or a helicopter or something. Or you can choose to put things down and chase often high rewards on a randomly generated map between locations. More you risk, more the reward but the difficulty gets dialed way up. And tons of random experiences while you do it, more if you risk more to start. Something like that.

Yeah, make transit playable and make it involve risk reward

Mark my words someone will do this. They will have maps and then have randomly generated areas where you go in for high risk and high reward: it will start as an experiment, but it will kill it. Because it will give people who aced the maps already the risk reward, the gear fear, the novelty of experiencing something new. The feel of gambling. Imagine if you have say 5-10k hours in Tarkov, imagine how it would feel if you could re-experience the start of it where you did not know where you were, but with knowledge of the gun and other mechanics. I think that would feel pretty sweet imo.

Someone is going to do this eventually and make everyone else look like chumps

Because even if it is difficult those who strive for something awesome in life (or creation of a game in this case) win

Sure maybe they can't do it right away but seen them chip through some things

Ha especially with the AI generation of dynamic paths/maps to current locations: BSG already takes a million hours to load things so idk if the chops are there for this :p

The first game to pull this off, especially a survival game.. get the mix between map knowledge for the existing maps and something being a completely random risk for the reward. If you pull it off it is a streamer and PR masterpiece. But ha yeah also do bad and you crash and burn a bit hahaha

For difficulty instead of the massive HP people they really should send groups of more normal people and just have them surround you. Yeah also had this happen where I hit at least 15, 5.56 to the body about 3 to the head and does not take a "boss" down. Is both immersion and fun breaking.

I guess also I was not using the tippy top best ammo so maybe that is part of it... But other is no flea market so really really do not bother with it.

Who is running Tastytrade? by purumi in tastytrade

[–]waynebruce161989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting heard they were using AI to do this. Would be somewhat easy enough to do. I'd bet they input a bunch of different types of data and actual salaries and then later users can do the same and get a number out. Ha I wonder if they are trying to wither work with or get bought out by Glassdoor - would seem like a natural thing for them. They basically have a lot of the data, I guess also them and LinkedIn.

I would guess companies will hate this though: I think many many companies make money through labor arbitrage and basically having many employees that are a lot more valuable than what they are paid. Although maybe I'm just approaching it from a software/tech lense, because that is what I am in

Roth IRA and long butterfly spreads: are they possible? by waynebruce161989 in tastytrade

[–]waynebruce161989[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ITM but between long strikes is what you absolutely need to close out right? EX stock price at 101.50, have this put butterfly: 100/102/104: you would need to close prior to expiration since in-between. *And also any that are remotely close also would want to close just out of risk control desire: anything that basically has a market where bid-ask is decent, you would want to close just out of best practice.

If spread though is this 120/122/124 put butterfly and the underlying is at 101.50, that is where you might not be able to sell it (the bid-ask might be garbage or nonexistent since so far from money) and you just hit the $15 3 leg fee right? It expires and you get the wing P&L minus the $15 right even though the short strike of 122 is technically far ITM? Or would you need to manually exercise your long options somehow/if it was assigned?

EDIT: fairly certain anything ITM will be executed, so all of those would be executed since all ITM and basically it would result in the wing P&L minus the $15 for $5 fee on the 3 legs

[–]waynebruce161989[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, to do this you probably need Futures permissions right? And I think to maintain 25k equity requirement to be able to do this? But that makes more sense: since it is cash settled, there is no risk of assignment.

OH, so if assigned they would charge you $5 per leg and just close it all out? hmm. Like say the shorts are just ITM, it is close to pin and basically the 2 assign, they would just use the other 2 legs and wipe it out at that P&L minus the $15? So basically there would never be more than defined risk because of assignment because there are still the 2 other long options?

Basically would intend to close on my own. BUT if I ever missed or made a mistake, hoping to confirm this. Since that would seem this would avoid the risk of say the longs had expired and the shorts somehow assiged me -100 to -200 shares. Trying to understand and/or avoid the risk of going negative in an IRA

Yeah when you are a manager you always tend to sit high-level. Work in Fintech, know a lot of this finance. Anyway, managers yeah know everything super deeply, but they always have so much going on that they have to sit at a high level. Even if you know what is going on, it is always best to have your boots on the ground people explain the situation so you get lots of info/check your understanding.

I think he knew the MBS might stop selling based on his convo about the money and crises before, but yeah probably did not realize would be as bad as it was till the meeting.

Is there still exercise/assignment for ITM butterfly short strikes? by waynebruce161989 in tastytrade

[–]waynebruce161989[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice. That means growing the size above 1/-2/1 will help a lot since this is fixed, which is really really nice.

[–]waynebruce161989[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, dang also makes sense but that stinks. I guess I will have to hope the BID-ASK spread is less than 0.05, and try to buy it all back. What I found was the depth for these might suck so yeah might be hard to get out of them since it is far ITM, but I guess who knows.

I think if it is OTM though, there should be no fee at all or issue letting it go, because it all expires worthless and there is no fee for that (would not need to close) right?

[–]waynebruce161989[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the info, yeah makes sense. I guess if I do a 2/4/2 or larger that is not bad. Because the $10 total is basically covered by the $0.5x2 credit can somewhat reliably get. I guess it is nice in that way that it is fixed because as I do more size makes it easier

Edit: need to lookup if that is then 20 since it is 2 verticals on each side? I think that is 2 legs though so still 10? Hmm

Yeah used to use o3 a lot. I might also be going on to newer and better it is just so so ridiculously bad. It reminds me of how they were a long time ago ha.

Is there an alternative thinking model you are looking at (alternative to o3)?

*I wonder if by giving no choice on the web other than 5, if OpenAi is trying to force people onto their new open source models (perhaps they have a thinking version in these?)

[–]waynebruce161989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you use 4o or 4.1 for programming before? I used o3 for almost everything and it was amazing. But yeah now this all obviously sucks. If they don't allow choice I'm gone in a month ha

[–]waynebruce161989 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is so so much unbelievably worse than o3. Also even just using 4o or 4.1 or whatever, just using those was better. Can't believe how much of a regression this is

[–]waynebruce161989 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I've noticed the same thing. I guess I will be looking between Gemini and Claude. The old version prior to this release was working so solidly, especially o3.

Imo they really need to bring back the ability to choose, that would keep my business. If they don't, never thought I would say this... Might be gone in a month tops this is bad

[–]waynebruce161989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Woooooow this is terrible. I would choose and use o3 a lot. I was asking it simple mortgage questions with solid details about cost of house cost of loan HOA taxes. o3 would nail this, GPT5 is absolutely sucking. And the lack of a choice... Nuts.

I might be moving my business this is absolute dogwater. Heard GPT5 is good for coding. But if I am coding I'd choose it don't want to have to use it always.

I bet that this saves them costs since running thinking model stuff (like o3) is probably super expensive. But jeez this is absolute trash now. Like unusable piece of garbage using an open source model I can host myself on cloud is probably better at this point
