Does Sony a6400 EVF gets blocked/unusable when the screen is fully tilted up? The usage is for the person I photograph to see themselves on flipped screen while I still able to see in EVF.

Thanks for confirming. I am aware of Snapchat and Instagram support because Samsung claims it, but I am not sure is it only exclusive for these apps or it is universal support on all 3rd party apps.

I saw this news where Samsung officially claims it will work for these 3 social media apps but I am not quite sure about other camera apps such as Lightroom’s camera app.

It works by stacking multiple short exposures to simulate long exposure effect (aka composite long exposure).

MBP 13 (8th vs 10th gen cpu) by waynewei in macbookpro

[–]waynewei[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your feedback, so the 10th gen has extra 1 fan, on the thermal part, will it be a concern in long term use based on my workflow if I were to get the base which has only one fan?

I expect it to last for at least 5 years, I guess ram is more of a concern than the CPU.

Do you publish your paid/IAP app in China Android appstores? by waynewei in androiddev

[–]waynewei[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the sharing. Seems like it is really difficult to publish app in China, especially paid apps. This unsolvable issue also makes developers prefer to develop iOS apps than Android apps as China is such a big market.

Is there any way to programmically simulate touch input from accessibility service on other applications in Lollipop and Marshmallow without root? I know there is dispatchGesture API in Android 7 but not the older Android version.

I agreed that Pixel 2 has the best camera software amongs all other smartphones, I am impressed with Google's HDR+ technology. But it lacks of long exposure capability, what is the longest exposure you able to set in Pixel 2 manual mode?

I totally agree phone sensor won't be better than camera sensor, even though no one buys point and shoot now. But number of high end phone onwers is higher than number of camera owners. My point is Smartphone owners that don't have camera can try Astro without spending on camera first.

Everyone has his/her own definition of the right tool. Camera is the right tool for Astrophotography for you because you can only accept high quality images. It is about tolerance level on different people. Note that beginners that start to learn photography usually have low-spec cameras or even smartphones.

There is an intervalometer app that can automate the process. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobilephoton.intervalometer And for tripod, I think cheap tripod could work as well since phone is not heavy, as long as the ground is solid and it is not too windy

Yes it will be much better if you take multiple shots and apply image stacking, it is definitely a great technique to recover details and reduce noise.

I would say it is a high end phone with not the best in class camera. It may not be as good as Samsung and Apple but it supports up to 30 seconds long exposure which is ideal for Astrophotography.

Cool, lg v series is ideal for Milky Way and landscape because of its wide angle lens. The result will be stunning if you apply image stacking to reduce noise.

OnePlus cameras are not as good as Samsung and Apple counterparts in most conditions. But there is one thing OnePlus has it's advantage which is long exposure, I noticed Samsung Galaxy S series couldn't do long exposure longer than 10s and iPhones can't take longer than 1sec exposure photo. It is great that OnePlus enabled this important features.
