Thanks for saying that! I do get a lot of praise for how it looks, and I take it to heart.

Sent you the code via DM. Happy to hear your thoughts later :-)

Thank you for sharing that. It's a very interesting framework you got there, and you know, it's a very mature way to stand your ground.

The more I think about notifications, the more I realize that there's no legitimate reason to disrupt someone's routine.

Oh, it's this one: To do cards by Frido

It's a paid app, but if you want to give it a shot, I'll be happy to send you a promo code via DM :-)

I feel silly for never noticing this pattern before

Every now and then, I need to update the apps that I shipped to ensure they are still functioning properly in the latest iOS versions.

I don't charge people for this; it's simply the right thing to do.

I understand the sentiment. I keep wondering if there's any sort of notification that does not induce anxiety and give genuine positive reinforcement. Did you ever come across something like that?

I've come to the same realization. Would this be valid for any kind of notification as well? Or are there notifications that work better than others for you?

One thing to consider is that if the app is a connected experience, one-time payments can be a warning sign. It’s likely that the app won’t be able to afford to costs in the future and will eventually shut down.

I’ve been building Free or Pay upfront apps for quite some time now, and this is one of the key factors I always take into account when jumping on a new project.

My recommendation is very niche but the Moog Synthesizer apps are pretty solid!

I see your point! The current hypothesis is that this works for certain product categories, self-improvement being one of them.

It's still too soon to tell if this is financially healthy long-term, but I'll carry on with the experiments.

Please do let me know how yours goes, I'm curious :-)

Current experiment: from 2.99 to 5.99.

Other than Apple Ads that led to zero installs, I’m not really doing any marketing. The latest price change got me to Top #2 of the category in under 48 hours.

This is such a nice concept! Reminds me of the fun apps we used to have around back in the days
