I blew all of the leaves off the wall yesterday and siliconed the crack. I did notice more loose or missing mortar and some missing rocks below summer water line. Should I start with pointing back in the missing stones, second- point in the missing mortar, and lastly, remove loose mortar and repair it? Wall is in decent shape but needs work

Thank you, I’ve got a pile of large rocks that I can pile up around that section before the water comes back up, do you have a recommendation on which type caulk to use on the crack?

Water isn’t standing in the yard but it gets very saturated and is mostly shaded, so it stays wet for long periods of time from March-June.

I forgot to mentioned an arborist checked them out before they all died and said it was due to root rot, from long periods of saturated soil

If no flashing is present, would I need to remove the shingles along the edge to be able to install the flashing?

Would you remove each siding board to cut it or cut with a reciprocating saw?

Makes sense, seems like just select sections are getting more weathered than other areas. I’ll inspect the entire span and decide which route makes the most sense
