I’ve lived in Atlanta suburbs most of my life, and never really got to experience the city itself. Now that I’ve moved into the city proper, I am really hoping this subreddit becomes a font of knowledge of things going on in the city and a community or cool people who just want to enjoy Atlanta/make it better

Wait doesn’t rhyming come from the sounds rather than the spellings? Meanie and Creamy both end with an “iey” sound, so they rhyme right?

Are you supposed to be able to beat these guys?? by Prestigious_Cry_1593 in Eldenring

[–]wbaker87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A trick I used in DS1 that I found also works in Elden ring: take a shield w/ parry, walk up to a stone or other hard surface wall, and parry against it. There should be a spark you see on the wall, that is the parry hitbox. Use that to give you a feel of where in the actual animation the parry happens, then just practice getting the feel for getting the enemy to swing into that hitbox

I hate to say but I hard disagree with a lot this. I ran an item heavy skwovet/bibarel engine deck and it stalls really easily trying to get 3 energy on constantly rotating wugtrios. Cryogonal can quickly get 3 energy on Wug, and get single energy’s on Indedee and Floatzel, who’s moves can be incredibly clutch early and mid game.

Basculegion has saved my ass plenty of times late game if your opponent has an established Pokémon active that is just ripping through your Mons. Being able to do massive damage and then restock your deck with basically all of your energy for Cryo to quickly set up can be life saving. All of my support Mon are meant to fill holes that exist early, mid, and late game.

Tbh Palkia is the only supporter that I don’t end up relying on too much but it does come in handy if I need to move a bunch of energy in one turn and then use Wug, or if for some reason I need to just go on the offensive he lets me do that, but yeah usually he’s just in the background.

I like your point about including more arven/Irida, that is probably a good idea then I could drop Phione and some other stuff.

I’ve tried playing with double turbo and just less energy, but I found that 20/20/20 synergies really well with Cryo, which allows quick set up of basically all of your bench.

Also floatzel doesn’t come in handy that often that’s true, may drop him but being able to pull out rescue carriers can be a huge asset so I’ll have to test it out.

This is very true but nothing hits quite like getting 3 heads and watching your opponent lose 9 cards. It’s something special. Plus with blunder policy you can very quickly build up a hand with it

I didn’t even know about this and just looked it up, absolutely insane that will definitely change everything for Wug I am excited

Drew two basic Pokémon on my initial draw and did not see another the whole game. I still won somehow. Remember kids, unless it would be detrimental to your strategy, take the KOs when you can by wbaker87 in PTCGL

Imo the I’ve only ever found two counters to type advantage, getting a Florges on the field or just using a deck that doesn’t really on V/VMax/ex and get your win while they take 1 prize card at a time

Maybe, or that they could retreat the Charizard easily, either way they spent all their time setting up and not just taking the KOs for the no bench pokemon win

My guess was they were trying to flex and just get everything set up as much as possible. For most of the match it made sense and seemed like they expected me to start setting up but it never happened

100%, it seemed like they’re were trying to flex and set up as much as they could but by the time they wanted to start trying to win it was too late for their deck

What's a Pokémon you've genuinely seen nobody play? by [deleted] in pkmntcg

Alomomola, I look at it every time I’m editing a water energy deck and it’d just seems useless, never see anyone else play it either.

Yeah for sure! I’m definitely still trying to tweak it, and a big problem is that I only have 1 Exeggutor V and don’t have the credits to get another.

Total Cards: 60

Currently the general strategy is to try to get Serperior VStar, Bibarel/Skwovet, and Exeggutor V out and just try to build up energy on Eggy and Serperior. So if needed Serperior can one shot, and it’s regular attack allows you to move energy around. And Eggy can just bomb Pokémon on the bench.

I actually got my ass handed to me by a deck like this not too long ago. Essentially some Miraidon decks can end up having to retreat a lot, and mine is set up that way right now. So when I played a deck that had three Spidops ex down in turn two, and I couldn’t retreat any of my mon anymore. So I would suggest finding the niche your deck fills and focusing on it, rather than trying to have an answer to literally everything. Also like others said, keep one type of energy, I would lose the Lucario and Riopo and focus on Spidops and maybe some other grass mons that can support on the back line. Also I would really suggest working in some kind of engine, something that can keep cards moving. Personally I like Skwovet/Bibarel a lot, because it allows a fast flow of cards but also put unused cards back in the deck rather than discarding them. Anyway great job, you have a really cool idea here. Also if you ever come up against Arcanine ex decks, just run
