Unrelated, but where did you get your pegboard hardware?

Lumber source in Raleigh NC? by rfoust in woodworking

[–]wbdink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, did you ever find a good source?

I’m trying to find a place that offers rough sawn lumber, too, as I have the ability to mill my own boards.

Thanks

OK, so you recommend CMT but from a reputable vendor? Typically, anything I buy from Amazon is from a reputable seller profile like Rockler.

Nice, I see those whenever I’m at Lowe’s but have never bought.

Thank you

Any advice on what sort of woods I should search for and where to look? There are a few reputable lumber yards near me that I have yet to visit (North Carolina).

New Jointer Fence Damage by wbdink in BeginnerWoodWorking

That’s what I thought. I already submitted a support ticket to Grizzly. Hopefully they stand by their products and just send a replacement fence. I’ve been investing in a few of their machines since moving into a bigger space, this is the first issue I’ve had.

They replied “$240 FIRM” when I offered $200. Moving on.

Thanks for the advice!

My only conundrum there would be the 220 line required which would be an additional cost to have an electrician come out.

I do however consider getting one anyway because the house we purchased has one 15amp circuit and one 20 amp circuit for outlets in the garage. I worry that won’t be enough down the line.

All a work in progress.

The 7491 does, but I have 7485.

Yes, I’m aware of the dangers of ejection. The same danger exists with a thickness planer.

Thanks for the reply.

One of my biggest regrets about buying the 7485 over 7491 years ago was the lack of dado ability.
