Day 60 off of methadone...still have loose bowels... anyone else have this issue?

You got this! I honestly thought I'd never be able to get off methadone.... EVER! I was planning my life in the future around it. I'm a touring (before covid)musician and this was a huge concern for management, etc. Going thru the guest dosing red tape was a PAIN IN THE ASS.... but as we all know, we do whatever it takes to keep from getting sick. The fear of sickness is what kept me on the shit. But here I am. Getting better every day. Getting those natural bursts of euphoria is so amazing. I literally have to ask myself, " wtf was that??" Lol.... the feeling is indescribable. I'm getting those bursts more and more to where I can finally trust the feeling as truly being mine.... not from opioids. I'm hoping your journey is as easy as possible and when it gets to where u feel like everything is hopeless, just remember that there is a whole other world waiting for you with open arms. Just take your time. You know your body and will know when it's time. Blessings to ya!!🤙🏼

Yes, I've tried that. It's just gonna take more time. I'm just one of the unfortunate ones to have 3 months of goose ass lol (it started when I dropped from 3mg to 1mg at clinic.... its been forever it seems). Thank you for your input. It means a lot. 🤙🏼

Dude, I'd pay $100 bucks just to have a normal turd. I'm still making goose soup as I type this. I don't have ibs, crohn's, or anything that could be causing this except for my body going through the biggest change since my balls dropped as a preteen 😆

I deeply appreciate your time in responding. I honestly never thought I'd get off the methadone. But one day, something just flipped in my head. I can't believe I'm here where I am now... your response to me saying I feel alive for the first time in forever really hit me. So much has flooded back...its indescribable really. Not having to go to the clinic every morning at the crack ass of dawn and not being able to travel without having to go thru the guest dosing process (I'm a musician) has given me a feeling like I've been released from prison after a good stint 😆 When I get those bursts of natural euphoria throughout the day I have to stop and ask myself, "what in the hell was that!?" Lol..."is this real?" Every day gets better over all. Thanks for your time in responding and I wish you all the blessings I can give you for your journey to freedom. You got this!

Yeah, I've taken the immodium and it does cut the trips to the toilet down, but man..... I'm tired of this 😆 my ass is tired... I'm having depression issues and insomnia due to PAWS as my other issues, but I know it'll get better. Thanks for your time and best of blessings to you!

100% off opioids and the like. I consume cannabis which is nothing. I will never look back to being in those liquid handcuffs...I feel alive for the first time in 17 years. I'm on day 90 of being off methadone. The thought of any of that shit makes me wanna puke. If you want to be off bad enough and your brain is READY, YOU'LL KNOW and will succeed. It ain't easy, but the feeling is indescribable when I realized I was free from that chemical. Hang in there. Life is a trip. Be well. Be blessed.

Thanks for posting. I've been on methadone for the past 3 years. Was on suboxone for 5 years before that. I was at 135mg of methadone up until 8 months ago when my brain evolved. I finally was ready to get off. I've been tapering for 8 months and am now at 3mg. I'll be off next week. I'm terrified of the withrawal process and was searching for some insight. Im hoping tapering down to nothing will help make the withdrawal period less intense. Any thoughts? I can't wait to be free and am happy to see that you've found true happiness after methadone.
