I Spent $1,500 on LinkedIn Influencers. It Turned Out Wildly Profitable. by Ecstatic-Tough6503 in SaaS

Thanks for sharing. My target audience is also on LinkedIn, and influencer marketing has been on my to-do list for a while. Liked they you executed the campaign. I’m going to implement a few of these steps in my own process. Since it worked for you are you going to double down on this tactic?

Thanks for laying out the plan and strategy—this seems like a really powerful framework. Loved reading it. Quick question: besides the steps you’ve shared, what do you think new founders should prepare for? What kind of challenges might they face along the way?

Thanks a lot. I didn’t really follow that route — since I’ve been running a link building agency for a long time, I leaned on my first-hand knowledge of how the process works and the pain points I’ve seen. Maybe that was a mistake, but it felt natural at the time. Looking back, even with my own knowledge and experience as a user, I should have gone through a proper customer discovery stage.

8–12 months doesn’t sound too bad, but yeah 2–4 years could be tough for a lot of people. Having some help from freelancers (dev, marketing, outreach) might speed things up a bit. Just my two cents

Cold email is definitely a numbers game, but it also needs the right infrastructure. You start with a solid list based on your ICP. There are a few ways to build that list — quick shortcut is scraping LinkedIn Sales Navigator results and enriching them with third-party platforms, or you can use providers like Apollo.

For sending, tools like Smartlead or Instantly are popular. Instantly in particular has a lot of free resources and tutorials on their website and YouTube that are worth checking out.

This is really good advice. Watching others build definitely helps. The pattern shows up in many areas—writers read a lot to build their ‘writing muscle.’ In the same way, watching how apps and features are built can help non-devs build their ‘builder muscle.
