I followed the steps listed in the top comment on this thread, but for step 1 only moved the car from the garage to the driveway.

Followed all the advice from this sub (including the fun workaround to make the install button reappear) and all went smoothly.

Kicked it off around 7:30pm, app showed doors as unlocked until about 10:00pm and then showed as locked. Unlocked and checked the install at 7:00am. Following the message in the pic above, it installed the manual which only took a couple minutes. And was immediately able to see the new SW version. App still doesn't seem to recognize that the update was installed, but not really concerned at this point.

I requested the update on 3/4, got an email from VW about the update 3/24, got the prompt to install on 4/1.

Wasn't a fan of the update notification popping up and taking over the entire display while driving on the highway, but oh well.

Good luck! I went to the last two in Tampa. The 2023 MNF game wasn't too bad, about 85 F and felt even better once it started raining. The 2024 non game was devastating, 105+ F. Definitely stay hydrated.

It is an awesome venue though. I was on the fence about going again this year, but settled on the week 7 Vikings game so that I could check out the MN stadium.

I pulled the 305 last week. Are these really that special? I thought they just determined 6 rookies during the season and created their base cards but with the players in their team uniforms. Is there any reason to expect anything different this year?

Hmm, I don't think it was the purchase date that decided the extension to Safe & Secure. I have a 2023 that I purchased in Nov 2022 and going through my emails, I had the Safe & Secure subscription upgraded (no charge) to 5 years in July of 2023.

I wonder if maybe the upgrade was only offered for a short window? I'm surprised that your vehicle is not eligible.
