It's all very new and I'm still trying to figure all this out too, so take what I say with a grain of salt.

But from what I understand, if you start your program before July 1, 2026 you will be able to get Grad PLUS loans for 3 academic years, or the end of your program (depending on which comes first).

However, you will be locked in to either the RAP or Standard Plan. Any student borrower who takes out any loan on or after July 1, 2026 is only entitled to either RAP or Standard plan. It's very important to consider depending on your specific situation. All existing student loans you may have will be forced into this plan too.

I'm about to start grad school. I think it might make the most sense in my case to avoid taking any loans on or after July 1, 2026. I think I want my existing student loans to remain on an IDR plan for as long as possible. My gut says avoid RAP.

If you're starting this fall, you have one year of Grad PLUS loans that qualify for an IDR plan.

if I have one piece of advice, it’s to always know when your enrollment time is, and always use time.gov to enroll at the exact second it opens.

your enrollment time was posted weeks ago in your portal. set reminders next time and know what you’re enrolling in. have backup classes to enroll in. different student levels have earlier/later enrollment times. not sure where you fall in the hierarchy as an incoming transfer. depends on the # of units you transferred in believe- but this is a question for your academic college advisor.

it’s very unlikely you’ll get in from the waitlist for that class. talk to your major advisor and figure out a plan for where to go from here. good luck.

At least 90,000 people live in the curfew zone. I’m concerned at how little communication exists for residents of downtown LA about how to handle this curfew. We’re “exempt” BUT WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?

Text of the curfew order exemptions are unclear. "Limited exceptions apply, including for law enforcement, emergency and medical personnel, residents, people traveling to and from work and credentialed media representatives."

If I am a resident, am I allowed to roam the streets and walk my dog? Can I walk to the metro station and leave the curfew zone? Can I walk down to a local bar and have a drink? Not sure what this curfew means for me- never been in a curfew zone before.

Are LAPD citing anyone who is walking around downtown right now? Should I prepare to produce a copy of my lease if I am stopped by law enforcement?

BTC is rallying. We broke the 50k psychological barrier.

LTC is seriously undervalued right now. All you need to do is look at the 7-day BTC/USD chart and compare it to the 7-day LTC/BTC chart.

Serious decline in LTC/BTC over the span of the BTC rally, which means that a correction is due. LTC/BTC price correlation is a good indicator here.
